Cross dressing and Anime? :3

Most of us anime fans know what cross dressing is, right? Cross-dressing is when a guy dresses like a girl or a girl dresses like a guy or a mix of the two (In my understanding) And such. Well, Anime fans dress differently too. (Some of us) We cosplay ( Dress like the anime persons and act out funny skits and stuff) We dress as our anime people would..Neko,Maids,Shcool girl outfits the works. But is there much of a difference in our worlds eyes? cross dressers are considered improper, discusting, and even lesbian or gay (I'm not rasist) and such. Are we that much different? Are we just a variation? And also, why do people think it? (Just a minor disscussion..Disscuss with me?)

I love to dress up, sometimes as a male character, and I don't think people should judge based on gender or sexuality. Nonetheless, people still do. I always handle it by saying that we live in a place where we are able to express ourselves (fairly) freely and that they are not hurting me or making me feel guilty for dressing as a boy when they criticize me. :3 We, as cosplayers, must deny anyone's negative attentions and just go on dressing the way we want to.

I saw a show on Fox called Taboo
They did a cosplay segment and just to put it out there the worlds best Kick boxer is a cosplayer and for the life of me hr will not dress up as a male it dosen't bother me but all abuse he got for doing it was bad and i can't stand that people were looking down on him because of what he enjoys and from my point of veiw they are not doing so why do they have to like it u know wat I mean
