Questions on Wood Style.

Why is it so important and powerful? What are its main uses and powers? I've been confused about this whole thing ever since the start.

Hashirama used his wood jutsu to control the nine-tails. And he also created the village with his mokuton: wood row houses ...probably. Yamato did the same when the village was rebuilding from the Pain invasion
It is a rare element, and the only known users are Hashirama and Yamato
its pretty cool and u can make almost anything. a comfy chair, house, trees.,,etc

warning this post may contain spoilers for those who know nothing of chakra natures


the combination kekei genkai are

wood style: earth and water

ice style: water and wind

crystal style: (not specified but fans belease either water and stone or air and stone plus its a filler so doesnt actually count)

lava style: fire and earth

blaze style: fire and lightining (requires a strong sharingan)

the elemental tree is like this


fire < wind < lightining < earth < water < fire

that chart is showing the weakness of the elements

but if you play it backwards they strengthen each other example would be

cold water doesnt hurt as much as boiling hot water

have a metalic peace of rock being thrown at you doesnt hurt as much as an electrically charged peace of rock

mud is more affective to work with then just rock

wind will fan the flames to a fire

lightining and wind would make a storm (brings speculations to sasukes kirin but no sasuke doesnt have wind style he uses his firestyle to create the proper conditions for a storm heat in the atmospher causes cold air to sink and hot air to rise creating wind)

now the kekei genkai are on oposite sides of eachother on the chart if you look it up on yahoo

fire has 2 combinations as it is the top of the food chain so to speak

fire earth lava and fire lightining blaze

water combines with wind to make ice

the filler ark with the crystal style open some speculations as to some fans beleave its a combination of 3 but again this doesnt matter because it is just that a filler those 3 would be water earth and wind but it has not been revealed yet by the manga if it is possible to combine more then 2 natures as most jonin only have to and pervy sage is dead kekashi is the only one capable of even atempting this currently (out of the good guys)

the water lightining combination was a tactical use not a kekkei genkai that was only used in 2 fillers

This technically is the 'Bingo.' The other reason it's powerful is due to it's versatility in combat, defense, and daily life. I mean who wouldn't want to make a house appear out of the ground, or make a chair when you need to sit. It's rare because you most likely need to be related to the Sandaime Hokage in-order to perform it.

Yamato is able to use the jutsu because he was injected with the first Hokages cells by an experiment by Orochimaru. Danzo also has the abilities of Mokuton.

Now don't forget that Madara has Wood style too now.

It's important because at this point it is virtually the most powerful ranged Ninjutsu I've ever seen.

Well maybe not Madara's Katon release was very large, and there are other amazingly overpowered Ninjutsu out there but, it is up there with the others.

It destroyed 1000 Base Naruto clones carrying Rasengans in a single release.

Not only that, but it apparently has the ability to tame tailed beasts.

Madara could virtually create a jungle landscape with wood release, it's quite amazing.

ya. he was abducted when he was a baby by orochimaru along with i think about 60 others. and yamato was the only one who survived
