Why i think Digital Copys will replace Book Copys

Not only are they at Volume 56 In ENGLISH not Translated.
But it is cheaper.
Meaning that in a couple of weeks we will be at the Madara fight.

switching to digital copies would definitly be faster..but there could be possibilities of complaints from manga fans

NO FOR DIGITAL COPIES !!!! I like the feel of reading a manga and flipping the pages. And you can collect it

Actually in the States, we are only at Graphic Novel 53. It was released yesterday (Dec 6).

Graphic Novel 54 will be released on January 3, Volume 55 on March 6, and Volume 56 on May 8.

I prefer the page turning action.

The borders around where I live went out of buisness, it was the only place where you could get any manga besides online resources.

I prefer to own my books. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. But with that being said... what if you were to have all these books downloaded and the device you have them on crashes. until you shell out a few hundred dollars to get a new device you would be without your manga. While if you still buy the hard copies you would have them even if your device crashed.

Also I would be less likely to ever buy manga if it was digital only as we can read it all on the net for free.

I normally do read online, but if I were collecting I'd obviously rather have the actual work, meaning the paperback books :). It's more to show for. And you don't need electricity to read those... We all rely on electricity way too much lol.

I agree. I like the feeling of having something in my hands. And I don't like staring at a screen for hours, it hurts my eyes.

etc etc

Personally I want to have the book in my hands. It's a little more expensive,but there's a certain feeling you get when there's a bookcase full of books which took years to collect. This is something you cant get with digital content

I like to read them and collect them. To own a manga book for me is like: omfgyay!;D-coughcough- Because collecting them in real life and having them to read at all times is just way cooler.

Well, it would be cool to have them on digital copy since it will cheaper and easier to carry around and download. But having a digital copy is harder to read (since reading manga on a kindle is hard, very small print) but the book copies are cooler. Guess both have its benefits :P

It's plausible.
The fact that discussions between humans is taking place digitally on the computer now is enough proof. I think this is totally going to happen as well. Great thread, and straight to the point.

You are talking about manga? I think that more people read it online, not because they do not want to buy it, but because you can't buy it in their countries, like you can in USA.

But having a digital copy is harder to read (since reading manga on a kindle is hard, very small print) but the book copies are cooler. Guess both have its benefits :P
