Why? Even Soul Reapers admit when they are weaker and slower than who their fighting.

Why can't Byakuya just dodge it.

Why can't Uryu just dodge Senbonzakura. Licht Regen is faster, larger in numbers, and is tracking.

Well examples like mostly Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, and Nnoitra are good enough, especially Nnoitra who was overwhelming Kenpachi with his Resurreccion form even with his eyepatch removed.

Because he has to drop his sword into the ground to prep it, and not that he's going to but he usually stands still when doing it. Licht Regen can shoot all the flower petals since it fires up to 1,200 shots consecutively

Not to mention Mayuri is likely the slowest Captain yet he barely evaded until Uryu used his final attack.

Sure you can argue that a Hirenkyaku user will be faster than a flash step user if they are similar but usually it depends on the user's skill.

I honestly doubt Uryu's Hirenkyaku is faster than mid tier captain speed.

Mayuri wasn't evading anything but was tanking all of the arrows IIRC.

I would argue that Uryu's skill with Hirenkyaku is similar to Ichigo's speed in Shikai, who reacted to Byakuya with little to no problems.


Chad did not defeat him. He and Uryu had disadvantages with their opponents so they switched. Then Uryu was too fast for Aisslinger to keep up. Also IMO Chad is mid-low tier in speed.

They were beating up Ichigo even with his Hollow mask, which in a weaker form was blitzing Byakuya back and forth.

He started getting serious when his eyepatch was removed. He said now he couldn't hold back. Kenpachi just got back in shape as for the whole fight he was rusty.

Probably but you got to recall that the same Uryu was "blitzed" by Tsukishima and Ginjou. The same Tsukishima who later with his Book of the End amp managed to fight Byakuya equally for a time.

Just read through that fight again and yeah he dodged them.

He was caught off guard and couldn't even see either of them, and I can't say anything about that fight since I'm not too caught up with the manga and I didn't see that fight at all.

In their Resurreccion forms, excuse me. Against Grimmjow Nel commented that until now there would be no question that Hollow Ichigo would win, and he actually stood a chance that time. Against Ulquiorra he couldn't tank that Cero Oscuras although he did in base.
