Tier List Poll #18: Gaara vs. 3rd Raikage

Ok so, to get a majority vote over who should be above who on the tier list, we're gonna do it the old fashioned way and vote.

Who is higher on the Tier List?

Hmm how fast is Gaara's sand in Part 2 ???
I think is should be quite fast since it intercepted the Raikage's leg drop before it hid Sasuke's Amau Sussanoo ribs.

Gaara has no way killing the 3rd whatsoever.

Also Gaara is aware his sand coffin was basically useless against the 3rd. He'll try a desert burial, which should hold him down. And he will die.

Though it's likely the 3rd could simply blitz right through the initial sand and kill Gaara before he attempts to hover above.

The think is, the 3rd's Raiton armor is so strong and could probably with stand being crush . Plus I think his Nukite can break through Gaara's defense.
I change my vote, Gaara losses (unfortunately) and the 3rd wins

Yeah he fought Gaara before, he knows he's a long range attacker and he will definitely go with his finger tip Nukite blitz.

Not sure Gaara can amass enough sand to either block the initial blitz or simply get above fast enough.

Gaara could muster up enough sand to defend him to stall the 3rd long enough to get in the air. Once he's in the air, he just has to bury the 3rd underground until he suffocates, he doesn't have to crush him.

The thirds Hell Hand was only shown to attack in a straight line really, so a sand shield then quick dodge to the side would be enough to avoid it I think by the time the third comes at him again, he's already in the air.

I think the 3rd's Raiton Armor can sustain the damage; since Kimimaro in CS2 managed to survive Imperial Sand Burial. As for the 3rd Hell Stab, I think it can easily penetrate Gaara's sand since his Hell Stab at half its power managed to breakthrough two layers of earth wall as well as the rubber wall that was behind it.

Good point Von, but it's highly likely Gaara will have a sand clone set up.

We've seen this before, as he was clearly able to make a swift Onoki clone to confuse the 2nd Mizukage, as well as creating his own during the chunin exams in plain sight.

Though I don't know the difference with gaara, whether or not it's a sand substitution or a clone, as it seems like PNJ.

I don't understand how you can switch a clone out with the original body without being noticed, or more so at all.

Orochimaru has done this a lot, along with several other characters. I'm wondering if this is actually a substitution Jutsu, since clones require hand seals and are quite noticeable after being summoned.

Wait, is does the 3rd's raiton armor make his body itself more durable? Or is his armor a shield?

Raiton Armor makes 3rd Raikage quite much faster, especially stronger and especially alot more durable.

Its likely the body being enhanced although I won't rule out the Raiton Armoro as a shield type as well.

I'm gonna go with an enhanced body. That would explain why people have been able to directly touch A.

A's speed is kinda overrated. There were a multitude of people who reacted to him...like Suigetsu, Sasuke, Jugo, Base Bee, RM Naruto, and Tobi.

Thats V1, plus reacting /= being able to do anything about it.

Jugo was able to barely react in CS2, while Suigetsu reacted as well I doubt he would have been able to do anything better than CS2 Jugo in the reflex department.

Sasuke had sharingan plus the main character syndrome.

Base Bee is already at least a low to mid top tier speedster. Reflex wise obviously higher.

RM Naruto is obvious.

Tobi is one of the big bads.

I take Gaara. Mainly due to A have little to no chance touching him in the air. Also at full capacity his sand was powerful enough to help slow down that massive meteor. A gets hammered hard. He blocked one A's attacks with just his basic sand. He can easily but time to make more.

How long does Gaara hover?

The 3rd stood off 10,000 enemy ninja for 3 days of straight battle.

Also no real way he gets above with Nukite coming directly at him.
