It could have happened simultaneously. They were in the same panel. If Minato wasn't taking his time then, things would have gone differently.

The Lariat clash was more about strength, not speed, and the Raikage wasn't at full power then. After they have their two suns convo, Bee talks about A using his 'full power'

Also, A implies that Minato was faster than him, and that they fought more than once. We only saw one little skirmish between them.

Megabbaut never said I was farm posting either, double posting is just generally frowned upon.

Good because the post asking people to debate for Itachi was not directly aimed at you, and even if it was, it would just be my attempt to get more debate going, because I feel that this has not really been resolved.

All of Itachi's hits to Minato are going to be near lethal, or handicapping to Minato.

However Minato's attacks are going to be tankable (short of Demon Seal).

It's much more likely Itachi will be able to land a blow and severely injure Minato during the fight, than it is that Minato will be able to kill Itachi without taking a blow.

Many, MANY people have tanked Rasengans. Though one to the face would be bad. Though Minato does have a disadvantage, if Itachi catches on to the Kunai trick (probably after one throw given his intelligence) the next Kunai Minato uses, Itachi can send an Ammy towards it then when Minato pops up, bam.

Yeah but that doesn't mean Itachi can... He never showed the durability to take a full on Rasengan especially one of Minato's power, and even if he survived, he would still be badly hurt.

There's no guarantee that Itachi can accurately predict where Minato will go to the point where Minato will be ammy'd instantly upon warping.

Can Minato even hit him? The way Itachi blocked Sasuke's chidori (yes I know he's PTS Sasuke and this is Minato) leads me to believe that hand held jutsu aren't the best thing to use on Sharingan users. I mean, no one who has had the Sharingan has been hit by one, and if the person doesn't have Sharingan who is using it, it is more likely Minato could get hit while using Rasengan.

Well it depends on how he uses it. If he throws it directly at Itachi it is very likely, if he uses it sideways and such I agree

minato's durability is mostly a nonissue since it won't stop Itachi's.

The problem is the thrown kunai speed + Itachi's reaction to the kunai + distance between them + where it is thrown. Itachi's durability to rasengan.

He reacts to projectiles easy. If you remember the Sasuke vs. Itachi fight where they're flinging the projectiles at each other from like two feet away. Also Itachi will likely play cautiously, hell how do we know Minato won't be running into an Explosive clone?
