Default Gentlemen, Star Fox 64 3D

What do you guys think of it? I just bought it and registered it on Club Nintendo. I'll have my opinions later on.

I challenge you all...if it uses online connection...

Can you still play on-foot in multiplayer?

I think that it's awesome. The graphics are great and almost everything is exactly the same as the original. Even though they re-recorded all the voice acting and it's all basically just as bad as the n64's, there's one thing they changed that they shouldn't have. They got rid of Andross's laugh! Well technically not got rid of it, but they might as well have. He used to do the epic mad scientist laugh in the n64, but now he just goes "ha ha ha". Lame.

Oh, and I'm sure you've noticed by now Kakuzu that it doesn't have online play. Sucks, doesn't it? And the local multiplayer is required to be download play! Even if someone like my brother and I both have the game, one of us still has to do download play. It's ridiculous. But otherwise I love the game. The multiplayer does have awesome levels when compared to the n64's though.

Why even bother to use the gyro controls if you played the original? Just turn the gyro controls off and use the n64 controls. The gyro controls just makes it difficult to see the 3d and aren't nearly as accurate as the control stick.

Ummm... that depends on what you mean by on-foot. To me, when you say on-foot, that sounds like you're talking about the Starfox Assault type of on-foot which is a definite no since this is a remake of Starfox 64. But if you mean on-foot like using the landmaster in the n64 version then that's a no just cuz they scrapped it from the remake's multiplayer. But either way it's a no though.

Lol. To be honest, I never played the entire Star Fox 64, but now that you mention it, I can tell where they cut out his laugh. He continues to laugh with no sound three seconds after the "Ha, ha, ha!"

Unfortunate... I guess only a few games will take advantage of the online play... All Nintendo has focused on is Streetpass and Spotpass, none of which really pertain to me. Still don't have a single person in my Mii Plaza... I was really looking forward to multiplayer.

Gyro controls on any 3DS game are useless. As you said, it just screws up the 3-d affect.
