Zabuza is an underrated character, he's nicknamed "Demon of the Hidden Mist" while Kisame is "Monster of the Hidden Mist", Suigetsu, who is strong himself, and Kisame acknowledge him as a genius, is nicknamed "2nd coming of Demon", they compare him to Zabuza, I believe Mangetsu has the same nickname. It is very likely Zabuza is the strongest out of all 7 swords man in his generation, with or without the swords. to me, the strongest swords man in that generation is either Mangetsu or Zabuza.

in general thou, Zabuza and Asuma would be the same level, it is hard to argue who is stronger, both are strong Jounin level ninjas.

Yeah they should be around the same level, it just seems to be that he downplayed Asuma at times like getting beaten easily by Hidan and having Kakashi "come to his rescue" vs Kisame, IIRC Zabuza's a master at the silent killing technique, which is hard to overcome

I think a lot of people would lose against Hidan for the first time, and the fight against Kisame, I just add a feeling if Asuma extended his wind knuckle blade as lengthy as he did against Hidan, he could've cut open Kisame's head, also he was distracted cuz Kurenai isn't even close to Itachi. overall Asuma is pretty strong thou.

Hiruzen is for sure above Danzo, Danzo never surpasses Hiruzen in any point of his life, or his flashback before his death would be different.

Ranking is based on feats, hype, and databook, I excluded 5 characters on purpose: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Tobi w/Rinnegan and Orochi-Kabuto, also characters that appeared but never had any feats or little hype can be only included in Honourable Mentions. In the same Tier, characters listed higher are preferably stronger than the characters listed lower, in my opinion. all the characters are judged based on their prime. I think TenTen could go up a bit, IIRC she's probably a strong weapon specialist, and now with that Banana fan, even though it exhausts her, we can't say the banana fan is weak, 5 elements and enough power to destroy one of Kakuzu's mask, who's very high in the Kage Tier, while TenTen's in the low tier?

for the same reason, you can't say Deva used Shinra Tensei just to blow Kakashi away, there is a possibility he used it to defend himself against Raikiri cuz he has no other way to perfectly defend it.

I don't think Deva dodged it, but the chakra rod effected Kakashi's action and made the Raikiri to miss.

off course Deva is very serious about Kakashi, he praised Kakashi before the battle, he called Asura path over right away, and he said if he doesn't kill someone like Kakashi, it might effect his future plans, also he was scared to get close to Kakashi when he wanted to kill him, I don't know about the fat family, but Deva was very serious about Kakashi.

ya it was a combination of dodging and the chakra rod, pure taijutsu dodging would be difficult for him.

Deva was moving against Naruto because: 1. at the begining he lost his power to perform all the "Tensei" techniques; 2. when he got his power back, he's pretty much the only one left, so he had to do all the work.

Deva was serious about Kakashi, he was even scared himself towards the end of the fight.

That was 1/6 Deva with 1/6 of Nagato's chakra and focus.

If it was 6/6 Deva with all of Nagato's chakra and focus on him he wouldn't have as much trouble I believe.

While thats is true.

Deva was serious about Kakashi, he was even scared himself towards the end of the fight.

He wasn't scared. He was just cautious. He almost lost his life because he underestimated against Kakashi. See how Deva was mostly in character.
