Which is more difficult to achieve: scaling Mount Everest or scaling Mauna Kea? Both are free of storms, but Kea may send a few wayward lava flows. Start at base and ascend. Detail reasons why one may be more difficult than another.

I guess Everest because at some point over there you need to use oxygen tanks to breath {which means that you need to carry them all the way up there} and I dont think Mauna Kea is that high that youd need oxy tanks....and you know the Everest is like 40% covered in snow/ice XD

But you have to start at the base, and Mauna Kea's the tallest mountain. You'll need O2 in the ocean depths, too.

Mount kea would definitely be harder. I mean, how would we make sure them people going int he submarines to get to the base, are not just cheating by swimming to the top?

That's assuming the depth is not so great that it would crush the people and or submarine.

Not exactly sure how deep down Mauna Kea goes.

I do know that it's too far, making it impossible. At about 200 feet below, any human would be pretty much crushed if they didn't die from the pressure prior to making it down there.

The people needn't be naked, but the submersibles would need to be leg-operated so as to show ascent was under man-power.

I would say everest, however as water reduces weight then Mauna Kea may actually be easier to climb than everest, under water you can use a deep diving suit (which has an oxygen supply that lasts at least 2 hours) and hop up the side of the mountain like you are on the moon (that would be kinda fun

).
