If people raise their kids right they wouldn't need duck tape. >.> All my mom has done is time out and its rare if my 3 younger siblings get in trouble. ^_^ I've always been the good child...
Being duck taped to the wall does sound fun though...

haha I keep asking my teachers if we can duct tape the "rambunctious" kids to their desks, they always say its illegal, you would think that they would change that every so often xD

Now I myself think that it is DEEPLY wrong to duct tape your children in any way shape or form. Good parents have a consistent and sensible approach to punishment that does not permenantly traumatize their children.
My simple, non-traumatic approach to punishment is as follows: Lying to me - Death Hitting me - Death Messing up my house - Death Disobaying my rules - Death Hitting someone who isn't me - a chocolate bar Murder - $100 Reward Arguing with me - Death Now anyone who is not stupid should be able to tell that I am joking and in no way advocate child killing or any other kind of killing for that matter.
