Duck Tape, Child Abuse?

I was reading a few new articles about parents who have been charged with child abuse for Duck (or Duct if you're a loser) Taping their children to various places. Now, certain situations I can understand. Taping your child to a wall and leaving him there for 2 days without food or water, yeah i get that.

But just taping your kid to a chair for a time-out? Is that really child abuse?

I'm just saying, there's probably some kind of line you don't want to cross, but this:

If the child can't move, yes. o.0 Also, that baby probably doesn't realize what is going on and is also unable to free themselves.

I think it's a cheaper way to have a high chair. No more need to spend money on a high chair. We have duck tape!

That's too cruel -_- How would you have liked it when you were young to have been ducktaped somewhere? You would not like it in the very least.

Yeah... call me crazy, really don't think that baby's going to remember.

And I have been duck taped to something as a child. I turned out totally fine.... well... a functionally part of society.

My dad has used duck tape on me since I was born. He used to hold me down and tie my hands together and put it over my mouth because I wouldn't shut up. Its not child abuse, in my case its Father-Son Bonding Time. But if like you said, stick em to a wall and leave em there to die, then yeah, but...

It's not child abuse.

It's torture. More or less human abuse.

Physically denying a human being the right to mobility is a horrible crime. Punishment or not, that's completely immoral and quite insane.
