k now let's look at something that is actually relevant other then rule of cool.

getsuga, has continued to be effective against increasingly powerful enemys throughout THE ENTIRE SERIES. evolve to grow stronger and even have the final form of it be used as the ultimate finisher to the series greatest big bad.

kirin was shown once and busted a single building/hill and still couldn't break susann'o, something multiple characters have done partially since. it also takes a long time and special conditions to use.

cero oscura's tore thru everything and was only matched and overpowered by full hollow bankai ichigo's cero and when they clashed were easily several storys in size and thus likely as destructive as kirin if not more.

this means something more along the lines of
cero oscura's
getsuga tensho
kirin

size and coolness isin't everything.

and it is a very powerfull technique due

consistency(it is lighting)
speed(faster than cero and getsuga)

getsuga has busted multiple buildings, bits of stuff, concrete, various objects, large rocks, once even tearing through a large part of the exectution hill place in soulsociety of i remember correctly and probably shizz tons other that i forgot.

oscuras actually did kill ichigo, he died, his heart was blown out. the hollow took over, raped, and then instant regened him back.
also they blew up skyscraper height towers atop las noches casually from what i remember.

Even though Kirin looks like it should be more destructive, all it did was take out the better part of the hill the Uchiha hideout was on. As the post above me said, Getsuga has gone through buildings, some pretty big rocks, the massive pillars on top of Las Noches, and took off a pretty big chunk of the Sogyoku(sorry if that's spelled wrong) Hill when Ichigo came to save Rukia from execution.
