Pre-time skip, I'd say naruto, since he's so fast and can make the chakra cannon.
Post-skip, luffy. He's got awesomely strong, fast, and agile, and can use Haki now. I just don't see it going so well for kyuubi

Where does it show Luffy being faster ? Any way 6 tails speed was fast enough to pull an entire river with it when chasing pain away. While in Kyuubi the 6 tails will be able to tank more hits and might not even be hit. The 6 tails volley should finish him off. Luffy is only able to move fast in short distances but in 6 tails naruto is able to clear short and log distances. A light push from 6 tails sent Pain flying distances longer than a football field . The 6 tails can fight at any range given while luffy is a close-Mig range fighter.

But let's not underestimate the Kyuubi's durability in Six Tails mode in 4 tails Orochimaru couldn't even piece through his skin I don't read One Piece but from the sound of it "Jet Pistol" doesn't sound like it would blow him up or anything

Just watched a video of it on youtube so I could get a better idea of what it is, that's not enough to beat Six Tails Kyuubi at all if he can survive a full force stab to the chest without even getting pierced being thrown about wouldn't do anything more than annoy him

Not to mention that if Luffy touches him he would get burned and possibly never heal and that would happen every time he touched him

I watched about 60 or something episodes of One Piece on cartoon network as a kid, Luffy is stupid

Just watched a video of it on youtube so I could get a better idea of what it is, that's not enough to beat Six Tails Kyuubi at all if he can survive a full force stab to the chest without even getting pierced being thrown about wouldn't do anything more than annoy him

Luffy gained a ton of new and incredible power after the timeskip, which isn't on anime yet, so the vid you saw wasn't nearly what luffy is like now. And he now has newfound willpower (Haki) which is stupidly hard to describe if you don't watch, but it would give Kyuubi a really hard time in trying to hit him, since luffy can predict his movements with it. Just throwing in my 2 cents. *points to 2 pennies* those

60 something episodes.... there are about 445 more.. plus a crap load more manga chapters.... lol o_O

Luffy is stupid, yes, but when it comes to fighting, he's a genius, like Goku. He mastered an extremely advanced technique by seeing it once.(Soru) When people tap their feet like 10 times in an instant and it looks like they are teleporting. Idk if thats how it was in the manga tho cuz i didn't read it.

Oro is not as strong as luffy.... someone who damages people who use Tekkai, IIRC, it makes their body harder than steel? i don't remember. A tailed beast ball would be dodged easily. And burns mean nothing to luffy, as he continues to fight even if his knuckles are splattered with his own blood. I've only seen him stop fighting due to beating the opponent down, losing his friends, or being physically unable to move due to gear 2 overuse which I believe he has mastered now

Its like Naruto. First 60 episodes he was weak. Look at him now. Luffy wasn''t really weak... but he's over 2x stronger than before the time skip. It took his whole crew to take down a pacifista(a marine robot based off of Kuma, a Shicibukai), and by the BEGINNING of the time skip, he casually one shotted one lol

Well, not really, there's no illusion aspect to it. It basically let's you have super defense, ability to predict enemy's movements before they even happen (luffy says "kick to the left" and 3 seconds later the enemy starts to kick left), and the ability to mentally overpower weaker enemies, breaking their spirit and sometimes causing them to faint. Well, that's a crash course on Haki, at least

First things first, Pre-Time Skip Luffy gets literally stomped. It's not even arguable.

Secondly, the only type of Haki which would be useful to Post-Time Skip Luffy in this fight is Kenbunshoku Haki (Color of Observation). I suppose Busoshoku Haki (Color of Armaments) would also be useful in the sense of increasing Luffy's defenses but not in the opposing sense of dealing greater damage to Six-Tailed Kyuubi (but perhaps he can, since it proved effective against the Kraken). Haoshoku Haki (Color of the Conquering King) is irrelevant in this fight.

Also, when Luffy used Gear Third against the Kraken, he didn't seem to shrink afterwards. Meaning that he can possibly use Gear Third as much as he wants without suffering the side effects of it. But then again, Oda may have just skipped the scene.

Like Luffy, Six-Tailed Kyuubi can scretch his arms to an extend. He can also expand his arms and his body to his like. His skin is also hard to pierce and burns. With its raw power, the six-tailed form was able to withstand Pain's Shinra Tensei and then reflect it upon Pain himself.

Oda said Luffy could scretch his arms 72 Gomu's Gomu long. My vote goes to the Six-Tailed Kyuubi, for now. I have yet to see more feats from Post-Time Skip Luffy.

Also Jet Pistol flings Kyuubi away, he punched a giant sea monster away early OP, Gatling Gun hammers Kyuubi into submission. Comparing anyone in Narutoverse to Luffy is like comparing an 80 year old man in a Wheel Chair to a Heavyweight Boxer.
