Retarded does not mean that. After all, what would "fire retardant" then mean?? Retardation has not lost nor changed its meaning--people are just grossly ignorant of its meaning. This makes its use in the argument "doubly moot".

Yes, most people really don't use it both words as the same way anymore. Anyway, I'm not saying I use the word 'retarded' as symonyns to 'stupid'. I'm using an example of what other people use it for. I don't say something is retarded, just like I don't say something is gay, so I care just as much.(Which means I don't care)
