Ichigo was keeping up with Byakua for a while in Shikai form during their fight. The only reason he was forced to use Bankai was because Byakua's Bankai made him need that speed boost to stay alive and get around the attacks.

Getsuga is supersonic+ it would take way less than a second to reach the ground at 500m

Don't do Calculations unless you have some actual quantitative from the manga or something that has very good reasons to be likely quantified other than that do not try to make one.


As for this thread, flight and spam is the main reason for Ichigo's advantage.

'speed calculations' aside *tsk tsk*......Ichigo has 'advantages' here (although Itachi having 'advantages' to some is 'fathomable' so to speak), in a sense...

...although in another sense, well, the thing with 'combat' whether in fiction of life is 'speed'......'speed is everything' so to speak....but in fictional debates between different fictional 'verses', it seems many 'debaters' have different 'oppinions' on speeds of some characters. therefor that is why people debate i suppose, over speed
