Did anyone else play these games?
If not, this is the series that Frictional Games released before Amnesia. If you liked Amnesia: The Dark Descent, I HIGHLY recommend that you play these games. If you've never even heard of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, I still HIGHLY recommend that you play these games. I only beat Overture, and hopefully will get to Black Plague. So far, I think Penumbra has a more interesting plot and more environmental puzzles, however Amnesia was much scarier.

How have I missed this thread!? I am sorry I failed you Nabbers. ;~;
As to the games, I bought them during a sale on a whim years ago, got all 3 Penumbras for $5. Quickly ranked up to Silent Hill 2 status as being scary games that were done well (aside from the 3rd game anyways...let us not talk of it anymore). I like them better than Amnesia at any rate, even if Amnesia is scarier. Penumbra has a much better story and setting in my opinion. |
