Form Suggestions

For those of you unaware, we have a form mod installed. And for those of you who don't know what a form is, it's basically a page with inputs. Much like those webpages that have you put in your name and other info. The Edit Profile and Nominations Submission page are a couple of such forms.

Anyways, the administration is looking for ways to take advantage of this form mod and they want your suggestions. To get an idea of what the forms are capable of, click here.

How do you think this form mod can be used to better serve the forums?

I got a suggestion since nobody else is posting.

What if we had a conference section? As in, users submit their "ballot" to a thread and the mods can all see it. Let me break it down.

So basically users submit a ballot sort of post. Much like the way an infraction would work. You fill out a form and it makes a thread in the FAIL section if I am not mistaken.

So basically we put up these rules(feel free to modify to your content if this ends up happening):

-You are required to post a minimum of 50 characters to submit this ballot.
- You must use correct grammar to the best of your ability.
- It is recommended that you detail your submission well in order to receive the best results possible.

Then the Mods get to it once submitted.

If I am not mistaken, ballots can be submitted to threads. Only the user that submitted the ballot and the mods can see the submission. This means if I were a normal user, when I submit something it will not show me everybody else's posts. Just mine.

And to differenciate between the feedback forum, this would be a sort of "Conference Room." The mod would be useful so that it is set so we moderate all submissions so there is no bogus. Any garbage is not approved, and hence not replied to.

The forum could be for complaints against staff, suggestions for staff, and suggestions to add to staff.

Also, if a complaint against a mod is put in, a green name could set up a form for "Should this dude be moved from staff" and maybe give reasons why.

You won't get much constructive feedback with ballots alone. It works better in combination with other innovative ideas.

You aren't supposed to ask to be staff. An application is the same thing. I mean suggestions from other people about a different person.

Technically, your not asking to be staff, your submitting an application showing interest and it would then be up to the staff to vote. A bit like what it is now.

well we have a naruto character fan club of the month to help get character talk like more actvie. we have people sumbit which FC get the tittle. than that character FC will sticky for one month and to make a little more fair we can have the forum vote for it.

This isn't a productive post or anything but it is a suggestion...so...

How about a different change of color for tha forum setup I mean Black and Grey are cool and all but why not make the weird greenish color orange to represent Naruto's clothes or something like the black and orange for his jumpsuit and the grey color for representing his headband idk just a random suggestion

Anyway... I think we should have democratic ostracization via form program. Every month or three we could vote on a Mod or FAIL staff member to ostracize (banish) for 10 years (weeks), and the ModSquad can vote in a replacement member. Almost exactly like the Greeks!

I notice sometimes ANBU members who isn't a mod or fail members are get the new info on changing that are made to the forum. during the the one that toma made to users porfile it took ANBU over three months to get used to the new info about it. I think that let ANBU have an SG or a sub forum would help them out, so that way if any changes happened on the forum ANBU members can know about it first and get use to answer questions about it quicker and that way when the official thread is made ANBU members can help users out much faster without waste time looking upo stuff.


and this idea can be good for teaching members in ANBU on stuff that they may not know like wall pappers issues and other teach stuff along with stuff about the forum as well.

The current method of them being told and having the ability to ask questions about what they don't get isn't enough? If they can't ask questions using the forum, I don't see how giving them a subforum to not ask questions in will make it any better.

I think she meant for ANBU so they can be updated unilaterally on any changes and thus be more effective at helping newcomers.

I do not know where the form part comes in, but there's that at least.

Idk too many similar threads on this idea have been made in the past and have been shot down so it's probly not the best thing to do.

But this isn't the topic of the thread, which is mainly why I asked you to make a new one.
