I do accept requests, but I do ask that you don't nag me, because if it's not done, there's probably a reason why not.

Skate 3:

ESRB Rating: T

Controls: Very good. The controls overall are pretty easy to do despite a few tricks. My only complaint about it is that when you're on easy mode it's way to easy for it to misinterpret the trick you're trying to preform.

Sound: Pretty huge selection of tracks. It's a mix of all types of genres. Pretty good.

Replay Value: Very high. Even once you finish all of the game's challenges, you can still find more on DLC, online play, and even create your own park.

Summary: Skate around Port Carveton and take on a bunch of challenges to become the most kickass skating industry around.

Overall Rating: 9/10

Controls: I think that most of the controls are pretty good, despite having to switch them around. The attacks are relatively easy to master mainly because they're all so close together button-wise that even if you do the wrong attack it's no big deal because you can kill them anyway. My only complaint is sometimes the controls mess up. Overall I'd say that the controls are fairly good. Can't double-jump which is a bummer because it's almost impossible to jump from place to place in certain areas.

Sound: The music is pretty bland. I love Cole's voice. The entire voice acting staff is pretty good, and the way they all sound is overall the way that you would expect them to sound based on the character's appearances. I was slightly displeased with the lack of music. Sometimes the best part of the game is the musical aspect. It just brings out the best in a game's scene. When I was playing in the sewers restoring the electricity in the neon district, I would've liked to have some ominous music playing, but whatever. That's one of the many letdowns with sound. It won't ruin the game, though.

Replay Value: Extremely high. There are TONS of side missions for you to do, and tons of trophies for you to collect. Most of the trophies cannot be gained by just playing through the story mode, which makes for an excellent replay value grade. For example, in one trophy you have to grind a rail for 5 KM, 10 KM, etc etc. Only problem is lack of DLC for maybe extra missions. Hopefully they will release some in the near future, though I doubt it mainly because the sequel has already been released. The game also has two stories: Heroic/Famous or Evil/Infamous.

Summary: A catastrophe has taken place and what seems to be the entire world is infected by a plague. You are knocked out after severe burns and gain electrical powers. Now that everyone is afraid, and the cops are to chickenshit to do anything about it, gangs run things. They used to be low drug dealers, but now they have the power. They call themselves the reapers, and they terrorize the citizens. It's your choice - good or evil. Throughout the game you are presented with many situations that you must choose if you want to do something for yourself or for others, presenting two sides of gameplay which really sets this game apart from others.

Overall rating: 9.5/10

Final Fantasy XIII

Graphics: Extraordinary
There was a lot of work put into the graphics, but perhaps too much was invested.

Sound: The Voice acting is top notch and the sound track is amazing, too bad the characters were mostly irritating.

Entertainment value: If you like the story, the repetitive combat will not get you down.

Replay value: Absolutely none

After playing Final Fantasy XIII for 15 hours, more or less; I'm left with a bag of mixed feelings. The game is absolutely gorgeous, whether you're fighting a lowly gaurd or facing a titan, you're sure to be pleased with the Cut scenes and sparse battle animations. Now sparse is directed at the limited variety of spells, as opposed to the look of the animations themselves.

Battles: Each fight you and your Ai teammates will face a bunch of baddies. You'll have different formations to take, from support to attack damage. This offers a great sense of urgency in tough fights because most monsters will one hit you, thus you're forced to heal before going on the offensive once more. This in itself is fun,but it would have been better if a grid system was in place, or the ability to move your characters freely was enabled.

Spells and Attacks: Nothing here is genuinely original and most do not bother with deviating from the norm. For instance, Hot girl Lightning has a sword, so she gets lightning sword. But Sahz has pistols, so he gets Lightning bullets. It would have been nice to see more out of the ordinary abilities, such as Sazh somehow using his pet Chocoba as an enhanced beast or something.

Summons:Lastly, we have the summons! The summons are definitely out of the ordinary,but sometimes they have a transformers feel to them and they are not easily accessible, like Final fantasy 7's summons. But there is a certain charm in having a super car for a summon or Lightning's Odin, which is a horse that gives her two mighty blades to wield.

Cut scences: The Cut scenes are more entertaining than the gameplay most of the time. We have a moment when our heroes are being pursued by a giant serpent dragon like thing, which forces them to use their summons to combat the beast and ditch a crashing airplane. Something that would have been fun if it were possible to do that ourselves....

Being Linear: Final fantasy games are known for their open world exploration, side quests, and overall replay value. None of this is available, save for a few mid game tasks.

Conclusion: Final Fantasy XIII is a decent game,but it is plagued by mediocrity in the gameplay department. Perhaps the developers should hav made it into a movie, instead of a Video game.
