Why don't ppl like the eng dub?

I don't get why ppl don't like the eng dub, I understand about it being heavily edited and how it's way behind the manga and japanese anime....but y else don't ppl like the eng dub

It's edited and has a lot of the show missing.

People can go watch it uncut and free on the net, so boo to dubs.

If the english dub was where the Japanese dub is and it was unedited then I would watch. I don't get why people prefer the Japanese dub when the majority can't understand it.

There's always a site with subtitles.

Who the hell watches Japanese Dub? 97.08% of all Japanese Naruto episodes uploaded to a website are in subs. I have never encountered a RAW episode.

With that being said, a lot of the content is cut out and the voice acting isn't that great.

I know, I'm saying that some people prefer japanese dub because they like the voices better yet they don't understand it.

Japanese dub is also more "raw". The lines are the closest to the manga....

It is 10000x easier to find a Japanese episode WITH subtitles than it is to find one WITHOUT subtitles.

Because it's the English dub. Mostly people dislike the editing.

Yea the editing of the action and the actual words used are different and suck.
But how does someone prefer japanese voices lol do they sound better? How do u prefer a voice over the other....the eng dub sakura sounds like a girl and ppl just don't lime that? How come?

What the hell? The english dub is uncut like the japenese. are you guys refering to DXD or the actual uncut dub.

XD's dub; "heavily edited" would make it obvious.

I like the overall dub (uncut obviously) and I like the Japanese version. It's not that bad or hard to get used to both.

I personally don't have a problem with the eng dub, other than the fact that it's way behind the manga and japanese version. The japanese version is at the part where Sasuke and Danzo are fighting. So, I don't really care. As long as I can understand it, i'm fine with both eng dub and eng subbed.

I like both the japanese and english and personally don't see why people complain about the edits so much. If you love Naruto that much you would just buy the dvds and be about to see it uncut.

I started off watching the English dub, but once I started watching the Japanese dub I can't stand watching an English episode anymore. The voice actor's are so tone deaf it is unbelievable. Well besides Rock Lee and Gai. I love their English voice actors. But other then that it is terrible.

I think it's mostly this. Anime and manga have been around a long time in the West, now. People with kids, even grandkids have read or watched some and don't need or want it filtered for "Western" sensibilities. Personally I like to hear native Japanese terms for stuff that have no direct translation to english. I like to hear as much native Japanese as possible so I know what the author intended things to sound like. There is always this sense that things are being dumbed down when it's translated and dubbed. VIZ is actually better than a LOT of groups out there, but I've seen some examples on Youtube of fansubs and I really like things with minimal editing/filtering.

Like many anime its hard to find an english dub that is better than he japanese dub. Naruto is that case. However, Viz does a good job at it.

What most people don't know that the japanese version that they watch online is in fact the Japanese Uncut version and they in fact edit some of their anime that air in Japan as well.

I prefer the Japanese dub with English sub because it is uneditted and some, SOME of the Japanese voices are better. I prefer some of the japanese guys voice quality for the character, the girls just sound...awful. It is sorta like a mouse squeeking. The English sub is alright, but i do like the Japanese just for the fact of it being the original and for some reason I feel it is just more "naruto-esque".
