Official One Piece FUNimation Dub Discussion Thread

I'm surprised that this thread was never made.....

Anyways, post here to discuss about the most recent episodes dubbed in English by FUNimation on DVD.

I just watched Episode 195 several months ago, I'm waiting for FUNimation to release Episode 206 dubbed before I watch Episodes 196-205, since Episode 206 is the G8 Filler Arc Finale.

lets see....the last dubbed i saw was skypia...on tv on CN. i got so used to the 4kids version and i thought the funi one sounded awkward. but im gettn used to it now.

I like the Funimation cast. I think it is totally awesome that Eric Vale plays Sanji, because he played my favorite character(Future Trunks) in DBZ as well. I also like that it is uncut. It adds the awesomness that I can both understand the language and see it in its unedited format. On that note, anyone know a place I can watch the episodes for free? I found one site, but it has a 72 minute limit without becoming a member.

I stopped in the same place. I was a little confused when they first switched the voices on CN, but I eventually got used to it.

I watched dub from ep 1-to like 80(thats where it was at) then I watched the subs, then switched over to the manga.

The dubs are cool, but they could do a better job translating and dubbing the opening themes, or at least keep the original japanese theme.

Thanks, Baby Naruto. I'm going to try and stick with the dub for as long as I can while trying to catch up. I have one question for everyone though. Should I start from the beginning and go all the way, or should I just go from where I was in the Skypia arc? Part of me wants to see all the fights with the funimation dub, but part of me doesn't want to waste that much time. I'm torn.

You should definitely start watching from Episode 1, even though you know what's gonna happen from episode 1 to the end of alabasta or rainbow mist.

I decided to start from the beginning and I am loving it. I'm already up to episodes 10 after just 1 day(I know that's a bit weak, but I wasn't home most of today).

10 episodes per day?

I'm lucky if I can get thru 5 episodes of anime, and I have more than enough time to watch an entire 24 episode series every day, lol.

I haven't really managed to watch any since the day I posted that comment. I've been busy, but yeah that is about normal. When I was watching the Naruto subbed episodes, I would sometimes get in 20 per day.

one piece dub fans rejoice funimation is putting out 24 episode box sets unlike the others that were 13 mini parts of a season
