HST Chapter of the Week 15

Bleach. I didn't think it particularly stellar, but it's moving the plot and opening up mysteries without being for the mere sake of mysteries. Also, it didn't have a poorly written character like Otohime, and none of my personal issues with Naruto I've listed elsewhere.

I like Naruto solely for the fact that Kyuubi talked. Usually he's just angry and not much fun to hear, but this time was different. Even with the fox talking, Bleach won. Yukio's Fullbring is pretty cool and we heard that Tsukishima is even a bit hesitant about attacking him. We'll see more next time, but it wins this week.

Bleach wins this week it was more entertaining it personally i loved it alot more now orhime and uryu admitted they were attacked by the same guy witch added more story to them also the yukio's Fullbring was sweet and ichigo's next Training fight is Ginjo looking forward to that.

naruto was a huge let down this week it was just a flashback chapter and bleh

Bleach is the obvious winner. Naruto and Op were okay, but nothing really happened in them.

My personal rankings:

1. Bleach
2. Naruto
3. One Piece

Bleach's chapter included more major events that, despite being predictable, were interesting and good to watch. The relationships between Tsukishima and the members of Xcution became more established in this chapter. As expected, they really don't like him. Riruka and Yukio's abilities developed and Ichigo's final stage of training is shaping up to be the most intense.

I thought Naruto was more important than most people think it was. There were three highlights, the first being Naruto's moment of coolness when he gives the Nine-Tails a cold look, the second when Iruka's explanation of the Symbol of Harmony pertained to the end of Naruto and Sasuke's fight at the end of Part 1, and the third when Naruto compared Sasuke's eyes to the eyes people see him with, but said Sasuke wasn't looking at him. I think these aspects of the chapter added more depth to Naruto and Sasuke's relationship and furthered Naruto's character. Naruto is trying to take a war on by himself, after all.

One Piece was good. It was finally explained why Jinbei said he let Arlong loose in the East Blue, and I think this chapter might be foreshadowing Otohime's death. Either I have a bad memory or it was never explained how she died.

The Naruto chapter was good, but I still like the One Piece chapter more.

That said, Darui is awesome.

I generally like One Piece a lot, but there's something aggravating about Otohime. She brings down even the cool bits for me.
