I strongly believe that there is a mechanism of Planting The New Eye upon the old thus the design of the sharingan becoming a merge of both...how it's done, i dont know although most disagree with me.

It'll make no sense If Madara Had to pluck out his one eyes to Put Izuna's for instance...if the defected eyes will find new light in another host, why wouldn't madara simply have given his eye to Izuna in return.

How would he wield his original jutsu if he plucked his eye out? If the Transplanting is a sealing technique, this should be easy to plant one on top of the other. anyways!
