So... you know how at the very beginning they stressed how poor of ninja Naruto was? Specifically he had failed to graduate from the academy like what 3 times? And yet he's the same age as everyone in their class? Really?

Edit: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHUNIN EXAMS

I'm talking about him failing the academy test at the VERY beginning, as in first chapter.

Why the hell was he allowed to take the test before everyone else? And If he failed 3 times why didn't he ever meet Neji or Lee? Why in every classroom flashback, OF VARIOUS AGES, is he always shown with the rookie 9 minus team guy?

By the way, based on this, why was the Sauce and Naruto permitted?

Admission requirements for Konoha's Academy:

Love the village and hope to help preserve peace and prosperity.
Have a mind that will not yield, able to endure hard training and work.
Be healthy in mind and body.

If the above conditions are met, admission to the Academy will be granted.

Well the Sauces get in on a loophole, he was already a member of the ninja academy and taking classes there when his clan got slaughtered. I'm sure he didn't make a point of walking up to the teachers and saying, "BTW my mission statement has changed slightly."

The topic was why he was the same age as everyone else who was in the academy with him when he had failed three times in a row. That was before the Chunin Exams. He has to pass the academy to become a Genin, to be permitted to take the Chunin Exams. If he had passed and become a Genin, he wouldn't still be in the academy.

I still want to know why Naruto was permitted when he was stated as being a vandal. D: Must have been that damn Minato's plan.

On another note, what happened to Sakura's and Ino's rivalry? I haven't seen anything more on that since like, the Chunin Exams.

Well... he did say that one day he would be Hokage, the job of a Hokage is to protect everyone in the village and he did swear to get their respect. So technically I could understand them giving him a pass.
