It'd be cool if he whent against another Taijutsu person, Because it seems like recently there's more jutsu than Tai-jutsu.

Yeah, now it's like: Lee is going to be cut from the fighting scenes because Taijutsu just isn't cutting it, Plus he has too many haterz. Arrrrg..

But at least he didn't change his outfit. If he did.... I'd be mad xD

Anyway, kishi used part 1 as build up on the characters and story sorta like build up on like all of important characters and the buld up to main story.

However, in part 2 now that he has built up everything and explained some stuff he just goes develops stuff he never built up on in part 1.

In part 2, Kishi made Naruto and Team Kakashi go on missions with a teams from part 1 but only one at a time like in part 1 Kakashi said that too much ninjas could jeopradize the mission.

Gaara Rescue Arc: Team Guy

Immortal Devastators Arc: Team Asuma

Itachi Pursuit Arc: Team Kurenai

He did that to well basically see how mature the K11 has gotten over the time skip and how they function as a team. Then the story has gotten serious during the Pain arc and he broke out of the formula and gotten more into just involving characters who can be important.

Team Guy have been left out until Guy was involved in the Turtle Island arc well except that Lee was in the Kage Summit arc.

Now the war arc is basically like the Chunin Exams arc where its everyone's time to shine again.
