Rest In Peace nameless and sometimes faceless fodder ninja.
You probably had hopes and dreams of your own. But when
other more important ninja such as Zaji, Ittan, Tango, and
Hoheto are in danger you took the fall for them because
you knew deep in your hearts that this world needs Tango.
You never got any flashbacks while ninja like Sasuke got a
thousand but unfortunately the one flashback of Naruto and
Sasuke holding hands really needs to be repeated over and
over and over again so the Yaoi Fan Fiction industry stays afloat.
You probably had all sorts of awesome jutsu that you must have
gone all out with before dying bravely. Too bad we missed it
when we were too busy watching more important ninja like
Samui and Atsui play a crucial game of Taboo with the Gold/Silver
brothers. But you can rest assured that at least they died too.
Well ok they didn't really die. They got sealed away. But I'm sure
that is just as terrible as the thousands of you who got impaled, slashed,
decapitated, castrated, severed, crushed and spontaneously combusted.
Fodder ninja, we salute you and never will we forget your sacri...

It's really kinda stupid how Kishi just threw away both halves of the armies. If you ask me, it would be a little more interesting if Madara's had more men.

50,000 is a bigger number than 40,000.

Actually, if Madara still outnumbered the Alliance to the same degree he did at the war's beginning, it would mean that every single ninja in the Alliance would die. It's actually quite grim that the Alliance lost half its men, because that means that if the casualty rate continues to follow this path the entire world's combined force could be wiped out. Which would be nothing but tragic.

True. But still the losses are great for the alliance. Statistically speaking so are the losses for Madara. But seeing how Madara only really cares about

Most of the Shinobi Alliance casualties come from Gedo Mazo or Darui's side of the battle while the rest is Kakashi's division getting owned by the 7 Ninjas Swordsmen.
