Just in case it happens, this reset happens, I actually screenshot my thingie.
To me my rep shows how many times I made others happy. A complete reset would kinda squish me like a bug. ._. but I understand Shika's motives. |

I'm not gonna read through this to confirm it's been said here, but as I've said to people when I talk about it, the plan is to have a publicly available archival screenshot of the top 500 or maximum it lets us show at a reputation and post count table. The top 50 or so might get an indication under their username of their reputation before the reset (and at any future ones should they occur).
So, the 'proof' is there in that way, but I think it's important to point out that the real 'effect' that your talking about that you think comes from your having high reputation, helping out the site, etc is that the community as a whole knows of and values it. That's not something that can be taken away. Don't make the mistake of thinking the green bars, though nice feedback, replace that.
