Default Charizard vs. Dragonite
Both Pokemon know all naturally learned moves as well as TM/HM moves. Location is the top of the Volcano where Blaine and Ash have their second battle in. Which one wins?

Well, to me Dragonite have a better chance of wining.

because charizard is planly a Fire Type. (and dragon maybe?)

but Dragonite can learn other moves that overpower charizard.

he can learn Lightning bolt and charizard is a flying type.

he can learn water type move and charizard is a fire type.

just by able to learning different type of moves gave dragonite an advantage.

Aqua Tail/Surf/Thunderpunch/Stone Edge/Rock Slide= GG Charizard

However, with Game stats, Charizard outspeeds it by 20 and might be abled to kill it with Dragon Pulse.
If Pokedex, Dragonite wins because it's said to fly around the world in 16 hours, and Charizard has no such feats in any of it's dex entries.

Dragonite is supposed to be faster than Mach 2 and can spam city busting Hyper Beams.Charizard gets raped.

I remember the Episode where an enraged Dragonite spammed Hyper Beams yet that was far from City Busting.

All it did was cause a Forest Fire.

That Charizard did not know dragon claw or dragon breath.

Besides:
Assuming they are both at ''LVL 100,'' Dragonite using hyper beam on charizard would only injure Charizard enough for him to be able to use his Blaze ability. After that, Blast Burn, GG.

Doesn't change the fact they were still hopeless until Dragonite calmed down.
Dragon Breath and Claw so what?
They were trading Hyper Beams and Dragonite was able to dodge Charizard when it tried to use Seismic Toss.

.....Dragonite is resistant to Fire Types.
And Charizard needs to recharge next turn.

They are both super effective. Plus Dragon Breath will paralyze.
