Nah, there's just certain repercussions that I think could happen if this were to happen, and don't think it's worth it.

Personally, I would rather it was just left as is. I wouldn't really care if my rep was reset personally, but I think that there are some users who might decide to leave the site if they lose their rep, which is obviously something we want to avoid.

I thought most people didn't care,so what's the problem? The only issue I see is the work and effort that would need to be put in for this to happen.

I don't find it quite as easy as everyone thinks. I think it's dumb, and I am not going to discuss why, until I hear a couple answers to a couple questions from a few people behind this idea.

Isnt it really lame to leave just because you do not have high rep? In the end its just about having fun and helping out? Not because of high rep.

Well, I don't care, but that doesn't mean most or noone does, that was my point, at this point, it doesn't bother me either way, I really don't care.

I know, however, I do know of one user in particular who left the site after his rep was taken away for misusing it. It is a stupid reason to leave, it doesn't mean its not a reason.

I don't find this necessary to do, I mean, we were all newbies once right? there were people with higher posts and rep power than us and we made it through. Shouldn't the new ones that came in do the same thing?
The posts number is the same, everyone has the number that they worked for.

I agree with Maik's post, I kind of think it's dumb as well.

Well it's kinda unfair when one person can neg you and you go in the red when you already have 2 rep power. And it's typically not easy for new members to get rep when they have red rep. The thinking is now the new members don't have to have that problem. And of course the people who have lotsa rep now will have lots of rep after. It's really not a big deal, I don't get when people say they work for their rep, it's rep...you shouldn't hafta work for it.

What new users? Naruto is a dying franchise, we don't get many new users anymore. We're already losing members as it is, and it can just cause us to lose more. Now, we also don't get many users to make up for the ones we lose. I have more things, but I really don't find where this is at all worth it. The downsides seem much greater than the upside.

I'm neutral about rep, but I'm 100% against resetting the post count to 0. It has absolutely no point, but to delete the history, even if it's archived in some deep, deep, deep option that no one will probably open to see.

I think Wooster's idea should be considered. If not, then it would be better if there are no changes at all.

That why you should have to take a punishment to neg. It will limit frivolous usage.
