User Image Album

The User Album is approved and open for use! The user album if any don't know is simply a place where users are able to upload images to this forum through their profile. As almost everything on these forums are, the User Album will be moderated. There is a team that will approve or deny images and comments based on their content. As I hope you all know, images owned by Viz Media (Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, etc.) or pornography are not allowed to be uploaded.

Here are the requirements that you need to meet for the User Album:

To be able to view:
5 posts or 10 rep points

To be able to upload:
50 posts or 250 rep points

To be able to comment:
Moderator, F.A.I.L. or higher

If you meet the requirement to view, you can view the Recently Updated Albums or simply go to any user's profile. If they have images in their album it will show near the middle of their profile or under the Statistics tab.

If you meet the requirement to upload, there will be a new link listed as 'Pictures & Albums' in your User CP.

Jinchiruuki
Kingsnoke
Muffintop
Nābris
Sasori

EDIT: Not following the rules for what we do and do not allow is now an infractable offense. First time is a warning, subsequent times may result in loss of privileges either temporary or permanent if you do it often enough. Just thought you all should know.

Awesome! Any idea of when they will become available to normal users?

I'm sure you guys worked extremely hard for this feature; congrats and thanks to all who contributed.

Please don't make conversation in this thread. You can post on the pictures, almost like the VMing system, just for individual pics.

Although it SHOULD be blatantly obvious that Naruto/Bleach/Other Viz content would not be allowed, I find it odd that people are trying to upload mass amounts of it anyway. So we're making the rules more defined from here on out.

SRhyse, a Viz Admin, has stated that "The intent of the albums is just for pictures of the users." As such, we'll only be allowing pics of you guys for now(some exceptions are possible but highly unlikely).
Those who continue to try and upload mass amounts of Naruto/Bleach pics should be prepared to lose their album uploading privileges entirely. I think the albums are a nice addition to the forum, but for those who aren't willing to take the basic rules of the forum to heart, you simply don't need album privileges.

Ok so I'm only just hearing about this since I haven't been on here in a while but I basically understand how this user image album works now. But I do have one question. Based on what I'm reading from some posts and what's on some people's profiles I'm guessing that you can use images that you put in this album for profile backgrounds now right? Do you need special permission in order to do that or can anyone that is able to use the album put backgrounds on?
