After defeating Zetsu Aporro Granz in the first round of this quote on quote "tournament", Ace Spade was alerted that his next match up would be in Karakura Community Park in Karakura Town. Confused Ace asked the tournament dude who told him a question, "Where the hell is Karakura Town? How would I know where this is?" he yelled. The tournament conductor dude told Ace to take a left at the floating head and turn at the endless river of blood and that the entrance to Karakura Town from Hueco Mundo would be across the endless abyss of death that would then be in front of him. "Sounds like a pleasant and heart-warming trip," Ace thought to himself. "Maybe I can meet some zombie ladies or ghost ladies, or even better, ghost zombies of ladies."

The conductor looked at Ace and told him that he had a little drool running down his face. To which Ace responded by being a badass from pushing his glasses up his eyes and asking another question, "Are there any ladies?" The conductor told him that there would definitely be ladies and then called Ace an idiot for asking such an idiotic question. "What kind? Human, Zombie, Cyclops, Praying Mantis?" to which the conductor stated that he was pretty sure they were human, but that he might have some praying mantis ladies too. "And, are they hot?" he asked. The conductor shked his hand saying meh and that some are and some aren't.

"Thank you sir," Ace said as he brushed his hair back and made his way to Karakura Community Park. Upon his arrival in Karakura Town, Ace stopped by the store and picked up some flowers and a basketball. "All woman love a romantic man who can play basketball," he said to himself. Ace then made his way to the park, playing a boombox by the basketball court. Music played as Ace dribbled the rock while holding the flowers in his belt. Taking a shot, he threw a complete airball beneath the rim. Some girls laughed at him and walked away. Ace then took off his coat, and straightened his tie. "There's one way to definitely get a lady, I just have to cheat," he said to himself. Just as he was about to add some magic to his ball, Dark, his opponent arrived at the court.

"Ah, so you must be this Dark dude that I'm supposed to fight. You couldn't have had worse timing. I was about to pick up these hot tamales over here. You're interruption has angered me, so now I must kick your ass," Ace said to Dark. "Let's throw down. My name is Ace Spade, bitches. Let's see if luck is on your side today."

Ace pulled out three marbles, dropping the basketball and began his first move. "Sen Gon Flik," he stated as he flicked the three marbles at his, "Tri-Burst," he said concluding the name for his attack. The marbles moved in at Dark really fast, and would let out an intense flame on contact with anything. Ace jumped back and picked the basketball back up, rolling it behind the goal. He then looked back at his opponent after the results of his first attack and pulled out four playing cards, dropping them into the ground. "Quad Card Blades; Pierce Pierce, Diamond Suit," made the cards enlarge and become as strong as diamond blades. The four cards ran through the ground, curving to make it harder to defend against them, as they looked to try and make some cuts on Dark.

As they moved in, Ace crushed a dice in his hands. "Defense Mechanism #4: Roll 3," created a metal armor as light as a feather but as strong as metal around him. The armor would increase his ability to, well, defend against any attacks that may hit him in this bout. Ace winked at a lady on a hill and then dropped a couple dice on the ground behind him, as well as a mah-jong tile on the ground in front of him, before dropping a marble on it. The marble activated the Summer Dice, as the air around them became very hot. The marble became engulfed in flames but Ace dropped an eight of clubs behind it. The card shot out eight arrows through the fire, giving a large amount of fire power. "Combo: Summer Days, Arrow Stains, Fire Reigns," Ace stated as his arrows moved in toward Dark. "Let's see what you've got, Dark," he thought to himself.
