Shoushin's right eye softly twitched, the scent of cherry hanging in the air above him. He sensed a new presence, but was far too weak to respond; something had happened last night, something bad. Shoushin shook off the feeling, even though his body was already tingly from being unconscious for so long. It was morning; Shoushin did not do mornings, for he did not like the sunlight, and, sunlight contained Chakra, which was toxic to Ikidhori, making him alone during the day.

Attempting to sit up did nothing. His eyes had opened fully, pupils taking in the morning world bestowed upon him by this stranger's touch.

A pure heart? Could it be, be the one from last night?

He inhaled through his nose.

No...this one smells of cherry, of greatness. Last night...

Thinking brought on only more of a mental haze, a snowstorm of feelings gushing over his body emanating from his heart.

Kaifuku, he thought with a smile.

Wrenching his arms deep from their long slumber beneath the earth and water slop of the side of the banbuu street, Shoushin attempted to sit up once more. Wincing, but ever so slightly, he had managed to support himself onto his elbow. Itching his forehead, he had accidentally just wiped the muddy mixture of the night onto his brow, blowing out a huff of frustration.

"...Shou...Shoushin Kokoro," he blurted out, slumping onto the girl's young little form.

Nickito quickly made his way to the training field, taking a short cut through the trees in hopes of catching Ren by surprise. However, as he moved through the trees, something caught his eye. Two people on the ground, blood dried into the soil. He recognized one of the people as Ren, but the other was a new sight. "Ren, what's going on?" Pulling off her left fingerless glove carefully, a frown crossed Ren's features. "Shoushin Kokoro...?" she asked rhetorically, placing her hand precariously upon the male's forehead and wiping the mud away, keeping him supported for a moment before laying him flat on his back.

"I don't know, Nick. I was heading out to our usual training field and saw this man here... He seems very ill," she told her cousin as he dropped to his knees next to her. Biting on her lip, which had become slightly calloused from the action being performed so frequently, the med-nin began her work in attempting a diagnosis.

Her right glove was soon peeled from its corresponding hand and placed with the left one, both hands hovering over Shoushin's chest in an attempt to check on how his internal organs were doing. After a few minutes, she finally said, "It seems like there wasn't an attack, and my chakra doesn't sense any poison... What could this be? He said his name was Shoushin Kokoro..."

Kara watched Alucard. "He... is like me... When I can't control my powers..." said Kara to herself.
The other demon hunters back off and talked among themselves. "Retreat!" shouted one of them as one by one they ran away.
Kara looked at Alucard and tried to stand up, but fell down. "Your good," said Kara not afraid of him. "I never seen Demon Hunters that scared before." She got to her feet, but was limping. "But I got to thank you... I be dead probably if it weren't for you..."
Kara looked away "He probably thinks I'm weak now..." thought Kara "Why won't he? I am a pittiful sight..."

"I'm not sure, but let me try something." He said, standing up and pulling a brush and ink from one of his pouches. He uncapped the ink container and dipped the brush in after wetting the tip with his tongue.

With great dexterity and fluidity, he began to draw symbols at the boys feet, and drew something of an arc up towards his left elbow, creating another set of symbols. With those finished, he drew one more arc towards the boys head, creating yet another set of symbols, and did the same thing at his right elbow. With enough space for Ren and himself to remain within the boundaries while still keeping the circle even, Nickito shook the brush and capped the ink, placing them back into his pouch.

Performing a series of strange, unique hand seals, Nickito focused his energies into the boundary, and within it. "Rune Style: Purification and Protection Barrier." He said, causing light to shine upward and out of the ink and symbols he had created. "Let's see if this helps." He said, kneeling on the male's left side.

Shoushin's body twitched anxiously under the Chakra-stained hands of the girl. His Soul was on fire! That Form of his just *had* to meet such a strong and determined young girl such as she. His Heart grew forlorn for the chance to awaken, but, in Shoushin's state, it was in no way possible for him to move, let alone sing to this new face. And his Mind form? Oh, his Mind form ached for the chance to speak to the ancient entities of light hidden within those runes.

Light pierced Shoushin's skin, a golden-yellow shadow of Chakra escaping out from under him. Blood melted away, his wounds slowly but surely closing up; his right eye twitched once more, though even softer than previously, and the subtlest of flicks appeared in the mud-caked index finger of his left hand.

Though something was different, clearly not natural in this state. For the girl and the boy had their own shadows, peering longingly and bravely over the horizon of the reeds and hilltops and streaks of sunlight. Their shadows matched their every movements, a stretching version of themselves.

Shoushin's, on the other hand, seemed to barely waltz back and forth in place, even though the boy himself did not move a muscle. No, it was as if part of him was not him; as if some force, some person, some daemon of some sort had some grip on his form.

He reeks of Derris-Kharlan. This boy must obviously be destroyed.

Noticing the small outer wounds that had been inflicted, Ren had moved her hands to start healing them, knowing that they likely were too minor to have caused Shoushin to pass out, unless they had been laced with poison. Thanks to the Tasogare clan's affinity with liquid, however, she could sense that there was none residing within the boy's veins.

Hearing Nickito speak, Ren smiled and nodded slightly. When he started to write intricate forms and symbols, she watched with intent curiosity. Even though the kunoichi had seen him perform these motions before, each time she found it more intriguing. Each time was something different, and she always found herself wondering how they were done but dared not learn how to. It was Nick's niche, and Ren didn't want to intrude within his specialty.

Hands of healing continuing to work on the wounds, she soon withdrew her limbs, staring at Shoushin's body as light pierced the area- an unnatural light that which she hadn't seen before. When it finally died away, she moved closer to finish her work, but realized that the wounds had mysteriously healed themselves. The most intriguing thing about it, however, was the fact that his shadow was moving. On it's own.

[I'm writing my own little novel too. I pulled the Rune idea from one of my friend Jason's test characters, and took ideas from my own book and the book Sabriel for them xD

This body makes me ache...I'll have to find a better host.

The shadow twitched a little more, causing a few blades of grass that weren't flattened by any of the three to rustle ever so slightly. Shoushin stirred in his deep sleep, bumping one of the rays of light with the help of a wince and a muscle spasm. It burned his hand, being such focused light and all, causing him to retract back into the way of his still-moving shadow, throwing it into the opposite wall of the runic dome.

The shadow seemed to hiss, backing up slowly. It had not realized that there were two other fully-capable bodies near it; if it had, they would have surely been gone in an instant. No, instead the shadow curled back up, aligning itself with Shoushin's body only 99% perfectly such as before, still swaying as if there was some form of wind.

Which there wasn't.

Shoushin's wounds were healed, blood no longer being expelled through the wide open door of various cuts and bruises from adventures past and unknown. His eyes sudden opened with a sharp movement, letting out a choking gasp and sitting perfectly upright. In an instant, thanks to the Chakra the girl was pouring out, and the odd runic patterns of the knowledgeable boy, he could nearly speak.

His breathing was still shallow and weak, almost if he had awakened from a horrible nightmare, which he probably had.

Though it only took him a second to realize what his shadow was doing.
