I would be happy with the cut off option, but if it was decided to use that, I think 325 or 350 pixels would be reasonable.

The cutoff option has now been reduced to 299 pixels.

I used to be on a large fan run forum a while ago. What they had was signatures only appearing in the first post of a thread on each page and the signatures being cut off at certain dimensions. That might work here, although it might have the reverse effect and not work at all.

Since I disabled the viewing of signatures on these forums anyway, I can't see the scroll bars. They are better than cutting the signatures off though.

Although yes it will be annoying moving the scrolls instead of the pages

but its alittle better then having a siggy that takes up half the page IMO
