Siggy Scroll Bars

They are to reduce overall page sizes from massive siggys, particularly from huge pics. It happened about four hours ago.

The alternative is to cut off sigs after the size of the scrollbar, which I'm all for.

You only get the bar if your overall siggy is taller than 300 pixels.

I do see one problem though that I noticed, even if you had a pic the required size..some people may still get the scroll bar due to all the other things they have in their siggy's...(ex. forum families, poems, youtube videos, stuff in spoilers, etc). Would that be taken into consideration if an alternate method were ever devised?

These things are so annoying. Whenever they scroll they scroll the sig rather than the page. Can't it be something like auto-spoiler?

Signatures are meant to be short and sweet, that's why they're called signatures. But a lot of sigs have something that make it unnecessarily huge, whether that be a huge sig pic, an even bigger wall of text, movies, quote after quote after quote, etc. This fixes all that. Now if someone wants a sig that's 2-10x the size of their average post, the rest of us don't have to scroll through it any more.

This isn't an absolute no to anything else, but Rice seems pleased with this change.

I say it's quite a development guys, really, but could you not make it just a few more 10s of pixels
(350 would probably be best)
