hey aurga how long have you been back...also this is the same as with the entire u.s. you have rights as an employee somewhere to play a nasty prank on someone... but if you do you may be fired for it...just keep like a good citizen and your fine... the best rule for anything is that if you wouldnt do it in front of your supirior dont do it at all...

And I am so glad there are rules here. Without them, this place would be filled with yaoi girls and, lets face it, its hard to talk Naruto in the real world without having to battle yaoi pairing people. Without those discussions, everything in here stays PG. (Yay)

If you do don't be surprised if every post you make needs to be moderated. Which means it won't post until someone approves it. Your forum experience will be diminished if you need to be treated like a child.

This doesn't mean infractors are beyond refute. Just DEBATE THE INCIDENT and the reason you were infracted, don't get all high and mighty about your nonexistant rights.

Toma, You are right. If you join the forums that means you agreed to its rules. That is why we have rules for the forum could be in controlled by somebody this might be America but that doesn't mean we can't follow the forums rules.

This isn't a matter of being on a high horse.

I get, on average, cursed at by people 3 times daily, because I or someone else infracted/warned them. I am told I have no right to tell people what they can and cannot say/post. They say if they wanna post pictures of babies being smothered to death they can, and they say I am infringing on their RIGHT to free speech. This post was made after I was told 7 times in 2 days that free speech overrode the rules of the forum.

If you researched my posts you would know I often say that the users, and activity in general is the lifeblood of the forum.

Also, I don't get paid for the 4-9 hours a day I spend here trying to make the place better, so I wouldn't so much be out of a job, as have an abundance of free time.

Saying things nicely, or with many words, usually doesn't work. The people this message was for, rarely read the whole message unless it has DRAMA in it. So the tone (and font size) were crafted to that end.

What's wrong with being a yaoi fangirl? Besides, there's enough pairing wars here with NaruSaku fans trying to fend off the teamed SasuSaku and NaruHina fans.....Agghhh, that comment about the yaoi girls is making me lose my (non-existant) cool dude. Well, at least you didn't mention the shonen-ai fans because there are most definitely some here. Hmmm, Toma's speech was invigorating to read, but my memory is terrible and I'll probably forget at least half of what was said. I know I'll remember the gist of it though! We gave up our rights when we joined.....wait that makes it seem as if we gave up our real life rights too!

I can't stand when people curse on the forums and I appreciate what you are doing. People get mad because they think that they can do what ever they want to on this forum. It's a privelege to even have this forum.

Really? Seven times in two days? And people cursing at admins is a common occurence, at least in your case?

Wow. I seem to be experiencing another "I'm glad I'm not them" moment. I've been having a lot of those lately.

I suppose such a thing is bound to happen on a forum like this, but it really is a shame, you know.

But I can't help wondering; if someone curses at you after being infracted, they can't exactly be helping their situation much, so why? I mean to say, if someone does that, they're just digging a deeper hole.

This is true. This is also why I strive to not be "that guy" that is always demeaning everyone else on the forums: nobody likes that guy, and I don't want to be that guy. I try to be as civilized as possible. I don't enjoy being infracted, and that only creates more work for the mods and admins who could be spending their valuable time working out real problems or better yet: enjoying real life.
