Hidan is underated and shikamaru got lucky and i find it funny when because hidan could have killed shikamaru no problem

Hidan was actually a pretty good bad guy. He actually did significant things in the story, which is more than Kakuzu can say.

hidan got his head sliced off.....if it weren't for his immortality then he would've been dead right there.

shikamaru didn't have luck, he prepped himself before hidan or kakuzu even knew it. plus hidan could've just used shadow clone on him lickaty split. pnj wasn't there, shikamaru has brilliance. hidan's just another ovverated miniacle villian who thinks he could win but didn't.

Itachi killed his clan
Kisame killed the four tailed monkey jinchuriki (ok he didn't kill him but if your so beat down that you can't fight back while kisame lugs your body to some sealing chamber far away then your pretty much dead kisame just has to snap your next you can't defend)

and asuma with more help from kakuzu if kakuzu didn't step in he wouldn't have killed asuma

shikamaru was lucky enough to kill Hidan. Hidan might be a little over rated but he put up quite a damn good show >.> if Hidan was smart then it would be over for shikamaru.

Actually, Hidan is entertaining. Well, he killed Asuma, but so many people die in Naruto and the only reason why I might hate him soon is his fans. He's way overrated. His fans are insane just like Hidan, but more annoying, especially on DA. Wow! I can't even... DA has become annoying because of Hidan's insane fans...
What's so sexy in him? Maybe because his cloak front is open? Any of the Akatsuki member would be hot if they wear their cloaks in a similar way like Hidan does. They are so pathetic, and they make me look pathetic too, while writing this! LOL XD

Let this guy be. He hates who he wants to hate. If a character truly bother their every fiber of their being, then that's just what happens. It truly tells about what the person dislikes in a character/person.

But... I do got to say this. One of my top favorite Akatsuki members is Pain. Jiraiya is also a favorite of mine (and he contributed a ton to the story, so hence he's a great character).

Does that make me hate Pain for killing Jiraiya? No.
I like Sasori, Chiyo killed him with Sakura's help. Does that make me hate them as well? No. Even though Chiyo and Sakura aren't named as one of my favorites and I still don't hate them.

I must agree with other posters. Hidan was entertaining. Kishimoto intended him to have a comic relief side of him which we all know about of. Good laughs.

I liked Hidan cause he made me laugh, but you can hardly insult his fighting style he was immortal that gave him the right to not really focus in a fight, he just got to cocky about it.

Let's be smart about this, the only reason Hidan died, is because Kakuzu didn't interfered when Asuma went to slice off his head, and then lead on to Asuma dying, blah blah, Kakashi joins the team and saves their butts. Point and simple, Team Asuma in that episode could of died so badly if Kakuzu wanted to kill them all, with help from Hidan.
