Even though MBDTF by Grammy standards doesn't count as 2010, I'm still going to do this. Who had the better comeback album?

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Recovery was great, but that was just from the sour taste of Relapse. On the other hand, MBDTF completely sold on all accounts, reconfirming that Kanye was very, very much alive in the hip hop business.

Different types of music. Recovery is what rap really is, can be defined as a more hardcore rap, while MBDTF was rap but more leaning into the Hip-Hop genre. In terms of being sold? I think statistically MBDTF has this. In terms of who is the overall better rapper and produced better rap songs? Recovery.

Actually, MBDTF undersold severely in comparison to Recovery.

Recovery was released one year after relapse, so it's not really a comeback album

You have to look of the amount of time MBDTF has been released and take how many it's sold and compare that number to the number of however many Recovery sold at the same amount of time that MBDTF has been released. Either way, Recovery was the better album regardless.

Recovery stayed in the top ten albums for months. MBDTF didn't even last for three weeks.

Recovery sold over 741,000 albums in a week. MBDTF's been out two months or so, and it under-performed during it's first week with a sale of 496,000 albums. After nearly two months, it's only sold 882,000 copies, in which Recovery sold 100,000 copies every week for a period of it's first nine weeks.

I got Recovery. It was a letdown. I love Eminem. He's an mazing rapper, but he older stuff was much better. Curtain Call and most of his older stuff >>> Recovery
