Gaara vs. Sasuke

Manga feats and knowledge. Gaara has knowledge of Susano'o Arrow.

Location - Where Danzo v. Sasuke happened

Sasuke wins this.

He has faster speed and the elemental advantage. Gaara has shown no feats to break out of a Genejutsu. And Sasuke went toe to toe with Itachi in a genejutsu fight. Even though he lost that fight lol. But Gaara Sheild can stop ammy but, I hightly doubt an Arrow from Susanoo. Also Sasuke can use Karin on gaara also to win this if he needs too.

first its kirin.

Next is yes, sasuke wins. Knowing about something and being able to stop it are two different things. Above that, iirc extreme heat turns sand into glass. So by the logic Kirin should basically toast Gaara's offence...

Then theres the genjutsu... ://

Or susano'o's to death.

Or genjutsu's to death.

Yeah I know it does. But he can use the same Strategy he used when fighting itachi. Useing his flame style to make thrunder clouds etc.

It was also ammy that contributed, not just sasuke.

I don't think kirin would be a match for Gaara's sand, seeing how it blocked deidara's C3...

The thing about C3 is that it's a lot, lot, lot slower than Kirin. Gaara was in a desert too.

In any case I don't know if Sasuke could even set up Kirin since he neede Itachi's Amaterasu and that CS2 fire jutsu in order to get the atmosphere right for Kirin.

Either way though Sasuke wins, Gaara doesn't know about genjutsu and has no way of stopping it without Shukaku. Plus Sasuke's Chidori techniques are piercing damage rather than blunt force so they can penetrate Gaara's sand and strike him.

Due to having superior speed, Gaara's Sand won't be able to keep up with him easily.

While Gaara's Sand wasn't even singed by Sasuke's Amaterasu, there is no guarantee that Gaara can counter Sasuke's Tsukuyomi. Likewise, Gaara would most likely use his Shield of Sand to try to keep up with Sasuke, leaving him defenseless.

I believe if Sasuke can time his Tsukuyomi on him right, then he wins this.

Sasuke wins this easily. He can beat him in thousand different ways. Anyway, his Sand could never block Kirin with current speed, because Kirin once it strikes, it travels with almost speed of light.

Speed of lightning is close to speed of light.

As you said, approximately, however it can be much slower or faster.

And either way, is basically in league with speed of light.
Which means Gaara`s sand won`t have time to defend once it strikes!!!

However, no. Kirin is nowhere near the speed of light. It might not even be on par with lightning speed, being that its not actual lightning but rather a very very fast bolt of chakra.

But yes, Gaara's sand shouldn't be able to defend him in time.

Even with the sand, Gaara looses due to the fact that Sasuke is faster, stronger, and has Itachi's eyes

391 page 6 it says that it's real lightning and both Sasuke and Zetsu make a point of it, and why would he need to change the weather if it was just his own chakra?

But yeah if Sasuke manages to prep it, Gaara would stand no chance. There are other ways Sasuke can win though and his Raiton can cut through sand easily, since Gaara with Shukaku couldn't block a newly learned Chidori.

just like to point out that at Kage summit, Gaara was lookin directly into Sasuke's eyes, his Mangekyou Sharingan no less, with no fear whatsover of sharingan genjutsu, when ever the kumo nins and kankuro has knowledge on MS and sharingan genjutsu(he even commented on how Sasuke's eyes are "the same as before")

anyways ive mentioned in the past some ways of which Gaara could defend against genjutsu, via 'dancing' sand molecules and the like blah blah blah so on so forth, however hopefully Gaara will get some new feats against genjutsu users anyways (possibly edo Itachi or Sasuke)

Gaara's stationary style of fighting will really hamper him in this fight considering all he possesses is his sand and the various moves he can produce with it. Granted, Sasuke, once he activates Susano'o, doesn't move very much either but like he said his defense is more absolute than Gaara's.

Gaara during the Kage Summit tried to harm Susano'o with his sand in a collaboration attack yet it did absolutely nothing. Once Susano'o comes into place Gaara has absolutely no move that can harm Sasuke.

Without Knowledge Sasuke could light Gaara with Amaterasu. Unlike last time Sasuke will make it appear directly on Gaara so his sand can't stop it from occurring. Even if Gaara blocks it, Sasuke can put the already used Amaterasy to use through Enton.

colorles proposed an interesting idea above me, but without his sand being automatic anymore Gaara will need to realize he's in a genjutsu for that to work. Sasuke can make it so that Gaara does not even realize he's in a genjutsu and a chidori would do just nice in finishing him off.

With the speed of the Susano'o arrows their piercing power should be quite high and should penetrate Gaara's sand after multiple tries at least.

The fact that Gaara is not in a desert also puts him at a disadvantage since he he a limited amount of sand to work with. With Sasuke's diverse variety of attacks he can't possibly hope that his sand will provide an adequate defense against his jutsu and if Kirin is brought to the equation (Although unecesssary) Gaara would be finished off for sure.
