20th Century Boys Fan Club

Welcome to the fan club of Urasawa Naoki's godly Seinen manga, 20th Century Boys.

It's about a kid named Kenji who created a book called "The Book of Prophecy" with all of his friends when he was a kid, about this evil villain who's out to destroy the world, and him and his friends have to protect and save it. Well to Kenji's surprise, when he grows up these things start coming true. They come upon the symbol they made as kids, and kept confidential. Using this symbol, a strange cult with a leader known as Friend.. He appears to know everything about the Book of Prophecy, one of Kenji's friends when he was a kid? Well.. Will Kenji save the world just like he wrote in "The Book of Prophecy"?

It sounds cliche, but it's not. Once you read a couple of chapters, you'll be hooked. Unless you're one of those bishie loving shoujo loving people, AKA half the people in Off-Topic. Except if you're from there and are just that "type," don't worry, Urasawa knows how to actually write a manga so none of that bishie crap. ^_^

Be sure to check out Urasawa's other epic manga too, Monster, Pluto, Billy Bat(which is ongoing)..

Spoilers will probably be in this thread, but we'll try to spoiler tag them for the newbies who want to read it or are reading. Because of my love for 20th CB and that it's my absolute favorite manga, and Miles' recent obsession for it, we made the FC. So join away. =P

So 20th Century Boys is super amazing and is the best manga I have ever read up to date.

I still gotta read Monster, Pluto, and BB though.

2010 started out crappy but got epic like 2/3 through.

Maybe 2011 will have good results. Like, 20th CB getting more popularity, on the forum and in America. xD

That would be epic. Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney, Miles Edgeworth, Genius Prosecutor, nah not really more like TU and Lee, bringing the epicness that is 20th CB to America and getting it more popular.

But really if we were the reason for 20th CB being more popular that'd be awesome.

I dun really care, I just care that more people hear about it.

Viz is good at advertising some series and horrible at advertising others.

That's why nobody ever hears of JJBA these days. It exists, but isn't popular.

Lol yeah, I didn't even know 20th Century Boys existed until people like you told me about it, despite it being in America for about two years.

It'd be awesome to spread it indeed, it would feel good for me to let others know about such a fantastic manga.
