The people on the committee are secret so you don't go favor to them. Not to mention that if they were not secret, they would've been spammed with similar PM's. As for being chosen, the people have volunteered to help with this themselves. Furthermore, they are responsible, and most importantly anonymous.

There aren't any categories. It's over all. After the voting session ends, the committee shall narrow the nominees to 5 people. The public will then decide the winner with the most votes. That's how we have this planned out.

So when you narrow it down. Do you do it by what the people have said about the users, who the committee like best, or the over all person and what they have done? when the people vote on the member of the month link is it automatically tallied or do you guy do it by hand? I know if someone has all ready been member of the moth last month they can't be this month. But can a user be member of the month more than once? Also (last thing. I promise.), will everyone have a chance at being motm? Like once <insert user name> have been it, does he/she have to wait until the other user have been it. Or is it more a free for all thing?

What the people have said about the user plays a big part but the entire decision doesn't come down to just that. The committee doesn't play favorites. The nominations are tallied by hand. Yes, nothing prevents a member from being MotM more than once. Lets be realistic, not everyone is going to get a chance but we are making this as fair as possible. The main reason why members cannot win two consecutive months is because it doesn't give other members a chance.

Pretty much this guy is saying that we all members need a chance to become a motm. I mean not all will be come. But if there are more nominations for the same person, thats for the Nomibot to decide.
