The New York Anime Festival was GREAT!!

They had lots of cool stuff there(cosplayers,sword,japanese imported games,etc.). I was the kid with Pain's crossed out Rain Village Headband. Were you there?(i went on sunday)

I go every year... but this year I dressed as Generator Rex. D=

I finally bought the Team 8 Wall scroll from one of the vendors and got it signed by Stephanie Sheh (Hinatas dub VA). Also bought the little Bandai Zetsu figural phone strap thingy, which is adorable.
Funny enough, I also have a habit of running into Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt whom give me hugs. They are just the best.

Why has Viz stopped coming to NYCC?

The bad part is that the "important people" came on Friday or Saturday. I missed Crispin Freeman-Itachi, stephanie sheh-Hinata/Orihime, and the creator of Gundam. I hope other voice actors that i know come next year.

Aww! sorry! Stephanie Sheh is an absolute doll, and while I didn't get to speak to Crispin freeman in personally, I did attend his panel, and he made me cry. Deep and profound respect for him now.

Next one is October 14-16th 2011! Mark your calendars!

NY Anime Festival? It's merged with NYCC still, so the same place... Jacob Javits Center, October 14-16th 2011. ;D

I'd love to meet Flannigan too, she was at Otakon last year but we didn't go. I'm not much of an anime convention type of person anyway.. that's my mom's thing, lol!

And yes, both Yuri and his wife, Tara Platt were at NYCC both 2009 and 2010. I have seen them about four times since 2008 and they are two of he coolest cats around. We're all pretty good buddies for only having a convention based fan/actor relationship, haha! I appreciate all that they do a TON. This year, they and I were both sitting in the Cartoon Network lounge Sunday morning before the floor opened to the public and we recognized each other and were just chilling. It was nice and casual so I finally got a chance for Tara to sign my anime profile book one Temari's picture.
I wouldn't doubt them showing up next year as well, so please do make sure to come. They really appreciate their fans and I'm sure would love to meet you.

Oh, do you guys want me to post pictures? I'll see if I can dig them up.
