Future Trunks showed much more power than GT Trunks did. He got more training and a lot more experience than GT Trunks.

There's no way GT Trunks can win this.

gt trunks is faster and got more training. remember trunks continued to train after buu for some time as goten was seen being forced to train by goku and vegeta wouldnt let trunks fall behind kakarots brat. and future trunks is just a noob at fighting and is too slow. gt trunks was really intelligent in gt. he'll find a way. plus ssj kid trunks was a match for ssj goten who fought evenly with ssj adult gohan. and adult gohan > ussj trunks.

GT Trunks takes this up until Future Trunks spends a year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Vegeta. Nothing Trunks ever did outside of a fusion ever shows that he has this much power.

If GT Trunks is allowed Tapion's sword, I give it to him.

GT Trunks is the grown up Trunks from the Boo Arc, and Boo Trunks showed a whole bunch of potential. However, considering that he lacked the need for such power(and did not get it because of that)...Future Trunks does win because of his Super Saiyan Grade 1. Grade 2? Ehh...its slow.

future trunks loses horribly. ssj goten was almost as strong as adult ssj gohan and ssj trunks is stronger than goten. considering trunks kept up a little bit of training after buu so as to stay ahead of goten, and went through alot of battles in space looking for the black star balls, gt trunks wins easily.

ASSJ means ascended super saiyan the form vegeta was when he fought imperfect cell trunks could go USSJ or ultimate super saiyan at that time

future trunks takes this with low difficulty, gt is inconsistent, gohan shouldnt be able to go ssj and goten wouldnt be a match for him, trunks goes assj version2 and punches his head off

everyone's tryna power scale this to give gt trunks the win, but gt trunks showed basically no good feats in gt that i can think of. heres another power scale argument: base future trunks one sliced metal frieza. in the last arguably canon dbz anime special, kid trunks takes on a guy as strong as frieza but can't best him, even in super saiyan. its kind of a stretch since there are so many inconsistencies, but id argue gt trunks hasnt improved at all since buu saga.

Future trunks was an ascended saiyan. Gt trunks was just a super saiyan. Common logic dictates Future trunks wins.

i found it inconsistent that ssj trunks and goten couldnt beat those frieza level goons. then they couldnt beat the fused version as gotenks. then goku beat the fused version in ssj with one punch iirc...

i can see how goten and trunks are around freiza level, and gotenks was just clowning around and doing useless attacks like wolf fang fist and volleyball fist, and goku didnt really defeat the enemy he just stopped his attack, they were unfused eating with them later

future trunks pre rosat couldnt handle 18 in ssj but base kid trunks was. ssj kid trunks defeated goten who fought equal with ssj adult gohan in training. and future trunks never got as strong as ssj adult gohan. if goten was only frieza level, gohan wouldnt even have to move. gotens punches wouldnt even hurt.
