A lot of you based it all on brains he is not the smartest ninja but he isn't dumb as he was in the original Naruto and in battle he is very smart and rarely makes mistakes when in a serous fight. If you determined it all on how smart the ninja is, Guy probably would not be a jonin. Also since when is Lee, Ino, Kiba and Choji better to be a chunin than Naruto?

That is correct, but it is true that originally everyone thought that no one should become a chunin that round but the thrid Hokage meant to recommend him as a chunin so Tsunade did. Since then. Naruto underwent intense training with, Jiraiya, then Kakashi & Yamato as well as doing missions, one of which he came in contact with Sasuke and battled him, in between so he hasn't had the time to do the chunin exams again.

Naruto is going to go from Genin to Hokage so why bother taking a chunnin exam, theres nothing saying you have to pass to become Hokage.... Is there??

And its just a title, I think Naruto has proven multiple times that he is waaaayy above chunnin level

yea, the chunin tests a nija of their skills and inelligence...
but i do think that naruto should sorta be considered at least a chunin because he is able to beat almost anyone
and sasuke too..hes considered a jonin at least...

Actually Sasuke hasn't passed the Chunin exams either, so essentially he'd be a Genin as well. Orochimaru may have trained him to a Jonin level but his rank is still Genin.

In actuality, Mr. Kishimoto should have had Naruto at least take the Chunin Exams the last time around and pass so he'd be a Chunin at least. Having Naruto be promoted from a Genin to a Hokage doesn't seem very likely, it seems more likely maybe from chunin or Jonin.

The featured Chunin exams had to be stopped for... erm, technical difficulties. Chunin couldn't be selected by regular means. The only reason Shikamaru was promoted was because of how the judges took note of his intelligence.

Naruto said once that he didn't care if he got stuck being a genin for the rest of his life, that he would still be Hokage someday. If this comes true (it has to!), then he'll be the most powerful and most important genin in history!!

The whole village already know about his capabilities, and a lot of people awkcnowledge him now. Like Shikamaru said, being a genin was the least of Naruto's problems. I personally wouldn't mind much really, as long as he becomes the best Hokage ever and achieves his goals.
