Sakura doesn't need new powers, she needs powers period. To say she needs new ones implies that she already has some to begin with.

She does have powers, but she's just not as powerful compared to most of the other characters in the series.

So Rock Lee was WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY MORE FASTER than Gaara. He was even able to hit him a couple of times...NO ALOT OF TIMES!!!

Feats don't apply to only speed. ._.

Besides, Lee would've won if plot didn't kick in.

hah. that is either severe understatement or extreme generosity.

Ok? That doesn't mean she has no powers period. She just doesn't have strong powers compared to nearly every other character, which is kind of sad for a main.

she needs more power and she needs to learn new jutsus like summoning and genjutsu cos she is a genjutsu type
she is strong but compared to her teammates shes very weak
besides there are people who became stronger even in shippuden like temari

Powers - She just needs to learn some jutsu to increase her strength already. Tsunade even said, 'If the medic ninja in the group is hurt, what happens then?' apparently Kishi just left that in the air to blow away when Sasuke and Naruto got all the glory (again). That'll happen alot and a whole bunch of missions can fail if she can't get any more jutsu rather than just medical.

But, it's been too long to suddenly just give a random power-up to her when she's been doing close to nothing since the...Sasori/Deidara arc. -.- And a little bit of the Pein/Hokage arcs.

And although Kishi loves to give random power ups to his favorites, I highly doubt he'll give any to Sakura...

One thing to remember is that Team 7 is the same as the Sannin. Mirror images. Tsunade was a master at elixirs and herbs. She is a medical ninja and pretty much started the medical corp. Her main abilities was being a master at medical jutsu. She trained Sakura to be a medic ninja and as well with her superior control of chakra (sakura that is) that she learned to focus her chakra into specific areas to maxamize her destructive powers.

Does she need a couple new jutsu's? Sure couldn't hurt
Should she learn to summon Katsuyu? Sure couldn't hurt

But remember her main role is to be a medic ninja and see seems to be at the top of her class but that is another story for another time lol. But if you go by growth of her and who she is mirrored after she has grown quite a large amount. Not as large as Naruto and Sasuke but they are really the main show.

Along with the other 12 genin in the series yea they have gotten something here and there but other than her other 2 team mates she has grown alot compaired to the others.

I hope in the battles soon to ensue, a lot of our old forgotten favorites (or not-so-favorites) will show what they've been up to since the Sasuke obsession. I mean, hopefully they've advanced. I'll be disappointed if they show the same old stuff.

Anyway, maybe Sakura will have a little something extra at this point.

If Sakura gets new powers I would love to see her get a Chakra Nature of some type and learn some Elemental Jutsu(s) Either that or the Slug Summoning Jutsu and maybe some Genjutsu to go along with it.

What she needs to do is develop more medical ninjutsu i always would have liked her to have a jutsu that inflicts grate pain for days by f-ing with the nerve endings. I do understand her main role is to heal so she should learn slug summoning who can assist with healing a troop.
