Divination Is Overrated

Divination or the ability to see into the future is actually rather lame.

Keep in mind this for the ability to see the future NOT the ability to change the future. Changing the future is cool. Especially with time machines.

But just knowing the future. Talk about pointless. You can at least learn from the past. What can you learn from the future except that it only gets worse?

Well I dunno, maybe I should be more optimistic.
Let's say the future is bright. Tomorrow will be a good day.

I STILL rather not know that. I'd rather that good day catch me by surprise.

A lot of things would be incredibly
boring if you know about them before hand.

Divination isn't weak sauce.

Fraudulent or not.

By seeing into the future, you are already changing it. The knowledge of such things alone changes the future from what it was going to be to a new branch.

Not necessarily, just knowing doesn't change a thing. It has a 50/50 of the person seeing it doing exactly what made the future the way is while trying to do the opposite. I wouldn't want to know anything before hand, bad or good because the inevitable urge to change or anticipate would be hindering.

Knowing the future changes the future from one where you didn't know, to one where you do. It becomes a separate branch of time. If you believe in that theory anyways.

If anyone could see into the future, chances are they would be reluctant to do anything.

I dont believe in divination...Its simply impossible to predict anything accurately unless you have a system of known parameters and even in that case there is always a chance of error...

And I said you change the future that was already going to happen by knowing the future, it splits into a different branch of time from that point on. One where you know, one where you don't.
