UNS2: Game Stops At 81%, Help

Just got the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, on my brand new ps3(literally just got it today after my old one died on me) and the game freezes at 81% of the first level, cant even train with sakura, before i meet kakashi...

please peeps help is appreciated, if anyone else has had this problem solutions would be great.. besides giving it in and getting another copy...

hmm first move this to Off-totic or Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm section

well you can close your PS3 and reopen it again or you can toch the close butom or you can open the disck drive and take the cd out and thne put it back in if that problem still contineus take it to the shop you byd your ps3 and tell them your problem

If you just got your PS3 try updating the firmware (assuming you can get online with it).

no scratch on the CD, it is brand new, first time i used it... ps3 is updated to the latest... still trying to see if i can get it to work,.. trying to change the language from japanese to english, maybe its a bug... dont know..

Crashing on PS3? Let me ask you this. I noticed 2 games have one thing in common and they'd crash on PS3

the games: Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4
What they have in common: they're on Dual Layer (DL) Blu-ray Discs on PS3

Is Storm 2 on PS3 using a DL Blu-ray Disc? Do you have to install the game on PS3?

The one way to check is by looking on the back of the disc and seeing if there's 2 barcodes on the disc. If there is, it's a Dual Layer disc.

If Naruto is on a DL Blu-ray, then we might have issues from other folks soon. I'll look around and see.

I'd hate to know the answer to that because it'd determine one thing: Whether or not I'll have to blacklist this game on PS3 in my book

FFXIII is blacklisted in my book. MGS4: Not so much because it had a HDD install. FFXIII didn't.

i did get the ps3 slim, 160gb, it supports blue ray, and yeah the game did install on the hard drive before i actually played it, other people that have the game had no problems, you think it could b a possible cd error or is it just my imagination. Could it just be this CD? everything is brand new, the game the playstation even the d*mn controller is new... im getting very frustrated...

but try going to gamestop and say it hasnt worked since you bought it and they'll most likely replace it

So I did take it back, got a new one, and nope no difference, the guy who also has the game says he has the same ps3 as I do and he has no idea why it doesn't work. So the plan is to go to another game store and buy it from there and see if it works. Question is should I delete the old games data before installing it again?

Yeah here is the latest update, got a new copy of the game, tested out at the store and it worked, I'll go home and check it out, wish me luck.

Got it working no idea what the problem was but I got another copy, the backside was a different color, deleted the old data and now I have been playing for 2 hours. Yey.

well so far it follows the series, naruto, kakashi, sakura, sasuke, sai, shikamaru, choji, asuma, orochimaru, the dude with the glasses that follows orochimaru, and so far 3 guys from the clan that ur avatar is from.. been playing for 5 hours and i have only completed 13 procent.... my opinion.... way too much fighting, feels that the game is one giant fighting round... but u get to play other characters and get to see the series from different angles.. alot of button smashing, for the people who havent seen the anime, and dont try to figure out the tricks...
