They were here not too long ago. They protested against the high school a couple blocks away from here. People actually gathered up and protested against them.

That's what I think in a sarcastic way whenever people hold signs up or say stupid crap like that. How the hell do they know what God hates? What he loves?

Do they talk to him? No.

They use a religion to back up their close minded, ignorant and biased opinions which like Maik said is to make up for the lack of intelligence.

This is actually sort of hypocritical in a strange sort of way. The bible clearly states that WE, the people of the Earth, are not the judge of the other people of the Earth. It states that God is the judge. Sure, I'm not particularly fond of a lot of laws. However, displeasure in law should based off of common sense, intelligence and argument. Not whining, bitching and people's religious beliefs. Unfortunately, those three things are lacking in this day in age.

Agreed but I wouldn't say "people's RELIGIOUS beliefs", I would say personal beliefs.

Freedom of speech is not absolute. This sort of thing will be outlawed eventually: not the speech itself, but the speech in conjunction with the time and place. They are speaking that trash at soldiers' funerals. If they can outlaw a person's presence in a specific place or time (for instance, convicted pedophiles not being able to live within a certain distance of schools), they can damn well keep these people from puking up this sort of garbage at funerals. Actually, it's legal for a municipality to require a license to protest at certain places and times (for instance, at a busy intersection during rush-hour)...

Sounds like every religion to me. Not to be misunderstood for generalization as they all have varying levels, but at the core it still comes down to "my belief is better than yours".

When you dig deep to the center of that ideal it is one in the same as a hate group, the levels of hate may differ but the origin of the thought process is still the same, people just don't want to look that deep into their beliefs. Of course, one might say that even if they did they wouldn't care, the power of belief being what it is.
