I am a complete atheist. I don't believe in any gods. I was raised catholic until one day I just woke up and realized that I just didn't buy into it. A shining moment in my past.

Besides, if I were to worship a work of fiction, like the bible, then I would probably go for something more entertaining with a higher probability of being true--like the Harry Potter series, for example.

I'm not. Out of the entire population of net users, I'd say at a guess over fifty percent are atheists (or at least not theists, which isn't saying the same thing). This has to do with two factors: East Asia and education. I don't know if they've caught up quite yet, but China will soon outstrip Western nations in userbase, and most Chinese (and Japanese, incidentally) are either atheist or at least non-theists. But America is pretty Industrialized (of course), and most of it is Christian, and usually most people on the net is from America, weather they like it or not (me being the latter)

Most people on the Net are not American. Look here. And while most of America professes Christianity (about 78%), only a little over 23 percent of them have 4-year degrees. The percentage of professing believers in that group is significantly lower, and the percentage of degree-holders in Europe is even higher, where the percentage of those who profess any religion is lower than in the US and occupies a less important place in daily life . Look here.

Now that i look closer at the numbers, I'd say that it's no longer a guess that more than half of Net users are non-theists. And a large percentage of those are probably atheists, in that they hold no belief in a creator being.
