Edit Signature problems

It keeps saying I can only have 500 characters in the sig, so to see, I type it into Word to find out how many characters it would have if it worked, and it said 368 characters without spaces, and 438 spaces with. If you get around to it, can you find out what's going on? Please, and thank you.

The picture code will take up quite a bit, that could be the problem. I'll check into it myself to see.

Yeah, 1 space = 1 Character

Spaces don't count in my signature.

The url of the image also counts.

It does this with a current signature, or do you have a completely different one you're trying to change it to?

I think, if it's possible, make it so we can see how many characters we have at the time.

A character is different than a word. A period is considered a character.

Where I have to put html for my signature it's written that I'm not allowed to put an image,why?

HTML is not allowed in signatures. Only BB Code is. Images are not allowed by default because everyone would be putting illegal Naruto images in their signature. If you think you still want an image for your signature, go here:
