I don't know if this has been said before, but here I go:

I think he wears a mask because his father was the 'White Fang', a famous ninja from the Leaf Village who terrorized the village, and Kakashi looks so much like him that people will be afraid of his appearance and they'll remember his father, so that's when Kakashi decides to wear a mask

Well, that's my theory

You heard it hear first =P

btw I watch the dubbed version of Naruto Shippuden, I don't watch the origianl Japanese, I'm watching episode 59 of Naruto Shippuden ENGLISH DUB.

What makes me mad is that the people at the roman shop saw what was under his mask but not me

. And the only reason I want to know was because of that episode. Does anyone know how to get to the roman shop there so I can ask them?

my best guesses are to spite everyone who wonders (for example us) Or that the mask helps him look even more uninterested in everything-by the way i still think kakashi is awesome but he just really doesnt look intested in things

I was thinking that it would remind everyone of the White Fang and Kakashi didn't want that....after all they are father and son so it would make sense that they look alike.

Anything else that even came close to talking about his face is filler so it can't be trusted.

Regardless of how much he looks like the white fang, everyone still knows Kakashi's his kid. And aren't going to forget any time soon, hence everytime he's brought up in a serious discussion they mention it.
To be honest, it's because he can't read make-out tactic's w/o getting nose bleeds.
