Account Problems....

So, my brother made a account, named 5th Kazekage, and has been unable to post for the 22 days since he has been a member. When logging on, he recieved a message which said something like:

"You have been a member for 22 days, and have not yet posted. We are currently deleting members with a post count of zero. If you would like to post in the New Members thread, click here..."

I paraphrased the whole bit, but the main points are the same.

When he clicked on the above message, he recieved this message on his screen, essentially saying that he must post or face deletion, except that he can't post.

After I laughed myself silly, I got him to log out, and thought I'd ask the following questions:

1. What is wrong with his account?

2. Will it be deleted even though he can do nothing at this time?

3. Is his account "disabled or awaiting activation" as option 2 in the quote suggests?

4. What should he do?

NOTE: I could not find him on the "members list" here: http://naruto.viz.com/forum/memberli...ername&ltr=%23

This makes me think that his account is awaiting activation, since he can still access it.

His account is awaiting email confirmation. He'll need to activate his account through the email that was sent when he signed up.

Did he get the Activation Email? If he didn't, or he did and it expired, someone can probably refresh it or w/e for him.

Ah, ok. I talked with him, but apparently his email account isn't working (he isn't able to log on, because the username is invalid, for whatever reason).

If he were to hook his email address up with a different email address (mine, for example), would that solve the problem, and could that confirmation message be forwarded to the new address?

He need to activate his account, Via activation e-mail. Has he already done that? And no, then tell him to ask for another activation e-mail and then click the link inside. If that doesn't work, then take it up with some Mods.

Yes, changing the email address will send a new confirmation email. However, you can't use the same email for more than one account, but you could temporarily change yours, then switch his to yours, activate it, and switch them back.
